VISION AND MISSION STATEMENTS.

It's bewildering to me that someone organizations - even churches - hire consultants to provide them with their mission statement. The consultant looks over the organization, diagnoses its various elements - culture, purpose, products - and then describes what the vision, mission, and direction of that group should be.
Great leaders have vision burning inside them, and nobody else can hold that flame for them. It is the fire in their bellies, their passion.
Vision could be just as well described as "vibration. " The leader feels the vision as vibration. He or she then imparts the feeling to others, who accept the vision and run with their leader to make it happen. The leader has seen something that ignites fire in their souls.
A vision something worth living for, and it is something worth dying for.
