Apple picking in my orchid
Apple is a fruit which is produced in many countries eg america, russia etc .. Apples are also produced in india... They two major states of india which produce apples are HIMACHAL PRADESH and JAMMU and KASHMIR....In jammu and kashmir jammu has a sub tropical climate and summer is too hot and not suitable for apple cultivation... Kashmir is best suited for its cultivation as it's climate is very pleasant.....
In our mother tongue we call them as " Chount " in general which has different varieties like chamboora, golden, mahraji, shireen, french, bulgaria, etc.....
Kashmir has many districts producing apples but my district ( shopian) produces best quality of apples and is famous for it...apples for my district differs in colour, taste, juices, Crispiness.....
Apple production is the main source of income to whole of kashmir and especially to my home town....
October - November are the months of harvesting... So is the start of buzy life.. Orchids are singing with peoples wandering in.... Collecting apples... And division of labour is done to get maximum work done. ......
Your farm is definitely a blessing. I'd say that unlike most of the farms I have seen where most of the time oranges and the bananas were seen. I have rarely seen the apple. Good to see something new :)
