Island Hepatica flowers bloomed white. 섬노루귀는 울릉도에서 피어나 섬자가 붙었어요.

There is a plant in bloom on the steep slope of Seongseongbong Peak in late spring on Ulleungdo. It is the island hepatica. Hepatica flowers on the land boast colorful colors such as white, pink, and purple.

울릉도의 늦은 봄, 성인봉 가파른 경사면에 꽃을 피워올린 식물이 있다. 바로 섬노루귀다. 육지의 노루귀 꽃은 하얀, 분홍, 보라색 등 형형색색의 빛깔을 자랑한다.

White fine hairs sprout on the surface of the blue leaves, and the curls of the leaves resemble the ears of a roe deer. That is why it is called a hepatica flower. The word hepatica flower is called flower of 'the ears of roe deer' in Korean.

파란 잎사귀 표면에 하얀 잔털이 돋아나 있고, 잎사귀가 돌돌 말린 모습이 마치 노루의 귀를 닮았단다. 그래서 노루귀 꽃이라 부른다.
