Steemm Cameroon Contest- My Short Movie Script: Cartoon Animation (Save the Village)

Hy everyone, thank God it's weekend. I believe the day went well, it was amazingly sunny over here. Welcome back to my blog as I will be partaking in the contest, my short movie script on the theme "Save the Village"

The challenges faced by the local village in my community are bad roads caused by heavy heavy rainfall and in some cases heavy trucks, poor electricity and forceful possession of properties as a result of greediness.

Three villages in my country are :

• Ishiwai Village in Kaduna State

• Olukosolu Village in Oyo State

•Ikot Ibiok Village in Akwa Ibom State.

• Ringle: The Evil and Greedy Village Head

• Tamtam: The saviour of Palma Kingdom

• Shella: Tamtam's friend

• Rambi: Tamtam's mother

In the Kingdom of Tanclaw, there existed a villages named Palma. The Palmerians were known for their peaceful nature and farming prowess and as a result didn't lack what to eat.

For decades, the people of Palma lived bountifully in peace and harmony until they lost their leader to the cold hands of death and a new leader emerged. The peaceful nature of the Palmerians was interpreted as weakness by their new village head Ringle.

Ringle was a greedy man who used the resources meant for the development of the village for his personal use. He went as far as depriving villagers of their lands and banishing villagers who tried to show discontentment.

Amongst the people Ringle banished was a woman who was pregnant with a child,she wandered far away into a kingdom which was more civilized, compared to Palma and Tanclaw at large, after months of settling and adjusting to her new settlement, Rambi bore a son and named him Tamtam.

Tamtam grew up to be a smart and intelligent twenty (20) year old man, who got to learn about his origin. He frowned so much about the happenings in his hometown and wished he could right the wrongwrong.

It wasn't an easy one for Tamtam as he spent months contemplating on how he was going to accomplish his mission considering the fact he was an outcast, he wondered if the villagers were going to give him a listening ear. After much deliberation and support from his mother,he decided to return to his village and see things for himself.

Getting to the village, Tamtam discovered that the condition of the village was worst than he had been told. The struggle to fit in with his people for a while looked impossible as his pattern of doing things seemed quite different from the villagers but this didn't make him give up.

With time, he got so close to a certain lady, Shella as they shared the same perspectives. It was with the help of Shella Tamtam got acquainted with the villagers, he shared his mission with Shella and their quest to redeem the village began.

Shella helped in co-ordinating villagers for Tamtam to enlighten about the effect of fear and the need for them to speak their minds. At first, it seemed impossible for the villagers to buy such an idea since they have lived in fear and terror for decades, but after much persuasion they gave in and decided to give it a try. The village head's guards, maids, warriors and servants were not left out on this mission leaving Ringle vulnerable.

Tamtam lead a revolt against Ringle and no villager was left out as they couldn't wait to be emancipated. Seeing this, Ringle knew that the end of his reign had come he was left with no other option than to flew in shame.

The villagers felt indebted to Tamtam and persuaded him to be their new leader. Tamtam agreed and ruled the community with love, he brought civilization to the community and restored a long lost peace and harmony that once existed.
