MY LOCAL STEEM PROMOTION.

Just as it was said by @steemitblog, “the first few weeks can be ‘make or break’ for people joining Steem”. This I totally agree with. This was my experience. The first few weeks of my joining steemit was very discouraging if not frustrating. My introducer did not know much about steemit then, had an insignificant steem power and so I did not get the much needed boost from him as a mentor.
My driving force then was to share my vision in writing for people of the world. This may not be so for every one ans so had to persist. Although I am not there yet. The level of poverty in the land helps in no small way to cripple the talents especially among the youth. They like to engage on things that will give them daily sustenance. The thinking faculty of a hungry African youth is not tall.
However, I still believe we can break even in promoting steem by letting people think beyond now. The road to a vibrant future start now and slow and steady can turn thing around.
My idea in promoting and recruitment of people into steem may be simple approach. Almost every body is in one social media or another, like whatsApp, Facebook, Instagram etc spending precious time that can not translate money into their pockets.

I suggest opening a whatsApp group titled “Write and Earn”. Getting people into this group from your existing contacts may not be difficult. Posting an explanation on the possibility on steemit of earning residual money just by writing. Motivational posts may bring good results.
Make room for questions and answers and take note those who show some interest. They may be your next concentrations.
Do a mini meetups where necessary. Do not also belittle one on one followup. We call it personal evangelism in the art of soul winning.
• For a startup, internet data is what is needed.
• When a team is formed, having laptops, wifi device and data for training becomes imperative.
• It also very necessary to put in place upvote mechanism as a support newbies as a way of encouragement. Of cource every body need encouragement at every point in time.
This pandemic luck down time would be a good time to start this drive.
Many a people are out of work. No need to wait.
