SEC-S5:W6 - The public roads of your city.
Hello friend, greetings to you, and welcome to my post today. Indeed, I am excited to have you here today, and I trust you're doing great. In this post, I have talked about the public roads of my city.
The surrounding cities that we can reach through these roads. |

In the city of Abakaliki there are several roads, of which one seems to be the busiest among all other roads because of the commercial activities surrounding it. The road that is located at Alo Streetis the busiest road that links to other surrounding areas in Abakaliki City.

This road is very long and straight down to Ogoja Road. At the beginning of this road, which is the point where I took the photo, there is an important institution on the right hand side of the road. Abakaliki Township Stadium is located on the right hand side, as you can see from the image below, which is the entrance that leads to the Township Stadium.

Beside the stadium, there are other surrounding cities that are linked to the road, which one can reach through these roads. From the road, you can reach Enugu-Ogoja road which is the flyover road I am standing on below.

Other surrounding cities are:
- Afikpo Road
- Waterworks
- Mile 50 Avenue
- Government House, etc.
What local or important institutions make life there possible? |

Right opposite the stadium, on the left-hand side, the Presbyterian Church is located, and down below the church, there are several shops and stores. On the other right-hand side, there are:
- Baller Restaurant
- Township Stadium
- Churches
- Government College Secondary School
- Abakaliki Amusement Park
- Abakaliki Police Headquarters
There are other important institutions like shops, stores, etc. that make life along the road possible.
Any precedent that has been made in that road or avenue that has been of interest to the community. |

Yes there's and avenue that has been of interest to the community at along the road. At the road there is a place where roundabout is built for safe passing and crossing to other side of the road.

The roundabout has four lanes that connect to other cities and important institutions. This roundabout makes it very easy for vehicles, machines, etc. to pass without having an accident, and also in the middle of the roundabout there is a big round construction that often sprinkles out water.

My routine is the one that is shown in the image above. It is the routine that is linked to Ogoja Road. Although, while moving towards Ogoja-road or the waterworks on a vehicle, tricycle, or machine, it's most likely that the driver has to bypass and turn right at the roundabout before moving, which is vice versa for both those coming from the right, left, forward, or backward.

I am glad that the city of Abakaliki has excellent roads for easy transportation of people or goods. I find interesting the traffic circle where the water source is located. The traffic looks orderly in these places.
