My Actifit Report Card: March 1 2021
A chilly day but it felt good to get out for a strong and long walk through the hills.
Seems that the easier efforts over the past week have helped to minimize my right hip and leg pain. The 5 miles were easy on my body and I was able to maintain a good pace on the hilly course. My hip felt ok but I'm glad that I did a walk instead of a run. No sense to push through the pain as it is definitely better. I'm hoping that things will continue to improve and I can get back to normal running or at least start easy and begin the long process of regaining my previous fitness level. Guess my ultramarathon calendar will be sparse for awhile - maybe the 48 hour in November or the ATY at year's end.
Time to look over the rock collecting pages and the upcoming week's weather forecast to try another trip into the backcountry. Hopefully I'll have good luck and a good time as well.
