My Actifit Report Card: September 16 2020
This morning my son and I played an eighteen basket disc golf course in the fog. It was a bit hard to see where the discs were landing but we did not lose anything. The fog was very thick with a bit of smoke added to it.
My son was having a tough time putting and let that get to him. I ended up wining the round with a even par score. I had a good chance of birdie at each of the last four holes but I missed every one of them. I'm actually very happy with that because at least I got my drives in range to give me a chance. A little more practice and I'll be able to sink those type of throws.
I played in the evening too at a short nine hole round with a couple of friends. It generally went well except there were a group of volleyball players practically in the middle of the fairway on hole three.
The city removed the volleyball net but these guys have been bringing there own. Usually they setup in the volleyball court. It does not typically cause any issues there with the disc golfing except possibly on a really bad throw.
In any case they were right where I usually land on hole three. I looked over at my friends and said, "Get ready to yell FORE"
i threw it with less power hoping it would hyzer out but sure enough it headed towards where they were playing. We all yelled, "FORE!" I landed short the field and did not hit anyone.
From where it landed I need to throw across where they were playing and net was right in the way. Trying to clear the net and not hit anyone moving around playing proved to be difficult. I threw it right into the net. I said, "Sorry about that." One of the players picked it up and tossed it out of the field saying, "No problem."
In any case I ended up not scoring to well on that hole. Oh well, really not much you can do about those type of things.
A spider and web out on the disc golf course this morning:
A spider and web in my front yard this morning:
Here's another one almost in the same location:
I love the way the dew outlines the webs and makes them more visible. The spiders are having a good time this season with lots of food.
The air quality was much better today but still is a little smoky.
