My Actifit Report Card: December 1 2021

Hey there everybody and thanks for stopping by!

Today, I’m going to talk about 2 of my favorite ingredients for making a mocha! What does that have to do with exercise? Not a lot really, but it’s a topic I’m passionate about and I’ll get to the steps here in a bit.

So this first picture is of the cocoa I use. It is absolutely the best for hot or cold mochas. I’ve tried using other brands and ALWAYS come back to this one. I use stevia to sweeten and this next item is currently my preferred flavor to add to my mochas.

Irish Cream is my current favorite. For 5+ years previously, I preferred a salted caramel peanut butter mocha. I still like them, but 5 years of drinking the same ( yes, I tend get into a rut, lol 😂) I was actually surprised when my taste went a different direction! ☕️☕️☕️

For the ‘milk’ portion, I will use coconut milk for cold coffee, macadamia nut milk or oat milk or a combination of those two for hot. Ironically I can’t deal with cow’s milk in my digestive tract, but can deal with whip cream ( sounds weird, I know) but a discussion once held with a barista confirmed what I suspected or what seemed logical to me-that because of the difference in fat from milk to other dairy like whip cream, it digests differently and doesn’t cause issues.

Speaking of whip cream, I make my own with vanilla I also made from vanilla beans and vodka (aged 6+ years) Best there is! 😁

Today’s work day was a fairly quiet one as the doc is out of town until Friday, leaving just me, myself and I. The carpet has been professionally cleaned but it now smells like a mixture (and not all at the same time either) of mold and mildew, dirty gym shoes, sewage or like dog poop with a little age on it. Needless to say, I’ve a bit of a headache going now.

We so far are missing out on the 3rd predicted flood ( nobody’s missing it-trust me!) but we are waiting to see if the dike is compromised as the river is just below flood stage and there is this bulge……

It started raining again so no hike for me unfortunately. I’m really needing some of the full hike to happen again, but not sure when it will happen. I’m hoping for the weekend, but the weather is questionable.
