My Actifit Report Card: May 12 2021
I had a few technical shopping things to do. Good engineer checked the status and found both things were working. That gave me time to go orchid spotting and no need to go shopping. Yippee.
A bit lazy to ride the 12 kms to a spot I thought I might see a cobra greenhood. So I drove. There is a corner of rain forest bush I have seen greenhoods earlier - headed there.
Pterostylis hispidula
Leaf for the greenhood is a classic rosette
Kept walking the track to the flat section above. Then turned back and saw this bud forming. That had me interested as I have not seen these here before.
Spurred helmet orchid - hard to photograph as they are close to the ground

One dying down gives some clues on the shape

I kept tracking through the bush to where I had seen chiloglottis earlier in the autumn

Leaves on the stem tell me this is a bunochilus - only this flower here

And then the bonanza - an open bunochilus longifolius with its hairy labellum
Nice to see more hispidula - only ever seen one plant here before. Kept zig-zagging the bush looking for grandiflora
