Along River Rhine (BlockCainPhoto Friday Landscape)

These are some photos I took last year during a cycling tour along river rhine. The rhine valley features an abundance of castles, so by needs there can be seen some kind of castle on most of these photos.

Diese Fotos habe ich letztes Jahr auf einer Rhein-Radtour aufgenommen. Es gibt dort Schlösser im Überfluss. Es lässt sich kaum vermeiden, dass auf den meisten Bildern irgendeine Art von Schloss zu sehen ist.

Yes, I did that cycling tour on a folding bike. Because ... why not?

Ja, ihr seht richtig. Diese Radtour habe ich auf einem Klapprad gemacht. Warum auch nicht?

Between the cities of Mainz and Koblenz, the landscape is breathtaking. The cycling routes are well marked, so it is a pleasure riding along the river.

Zwischen Mainz und Koblenz ist die Landschaft einfach atemberaubend. Die Radwanderwege sind bestens beschildert, so dass dem Spaß am Radfahren nichts im Wege steht.

The nice thing about river landscapes is that they look great at any event, even during bad weather.

Das schöne an Flusslandschaften ist, dass sie eigentlich immer gut aussehen, sogar bei schlechtem Wetter.

The panorama pictures look best when you watch them in their original size. On the other hand, in the picture below, the castle on the hill is in the haze anyway.

Die Panoramabilder in diesem Post seht ihr euch am besten in der Originalgröße an. Andererseits liegt das Schloss auf dem nächsten Bild sowieso im Dunst, so dass ihr nicht allzuviel verpasst.

To finish up this post, this is a picture I took on the last day of my cycling tour. If you watch closely, you can see the dome of Cologne peeping below the bridge.

Zum Abschluss kommt ein Bild, das ich am letzten Tag der Radtour gemacht habe. Wenn ihr genau hinseht, könnt ihr unter der Brücke den Kölner Dom hervorblinzeln sehen.
