When you are tired...

Take a rest when you are tired. As simple as that.

But do you take a rest?

Life is full of stress. We have a ton of workload. Even teens and children are so busy these days. We don't have time to take a break, to relax and to breath. What you are doing in the name of relaxing or rest is not actually rest. Wondering why? Because we don't let our brain to take a break. It's working while we are scrolling our social media feed, it's working while we are on the beach and so on.

How can we take a proper rest?

People who got less sleep or maybe most of us are in this line; can relate how it feels to be stressed, to get less sleep and to work continuously. One break means we lag behind other works. We all have a long queue of work. Taking a break became a luxury. But as we can't function properly without the rest so we have to find a way out. Here's what I feel can help.

• Proper sleep. This is the key to give the body and mind a perfect rest. Don't bring your phone in bed, keep quiet and try to have a sound sleep at least seven to eight hours. Oh, and sleep at night, not from late night to noon.

• Disconnect from electric devices. Don't bring your mobile inthe bed. Keep yourself away from the TV or any kind of monitor. It really helps to make our brain destruction free and relax our minds.

• A relaxing environment. Loud noise or bright light can give us a little uncomfortable. So creating a soothing environment is also necessary to help ourselves get a rest.

I think if we can manage to ensure all of this we can take a good rest. Not only physically but mentally also. And I believe mental rest is more important in our modern life. I hope it helps a little bit.
