Unique find for SteemGeography 🌎 // @vaibhavsan

Hello, fellow Steemit users. There are certain places that hold geographical significance and beauty. However, these places are not well known and hence are not very popular. Even though if once you visit that place, you are spellbound to go there again because of its certain uniqueness. As per this contest, I would like to tell about one such place.

I would like to tell about the tourist spot from where we saw the sunrise at Mt. Kanchenjunga. It is a spectacular sight to be seen. Mt. Kanchenjunga is the third tallest highest peak in the world. Its height is about 8586 m above the mean sea level. I visited this spot when I visited Darjeeling on a trip.

I went to Darjeeling while on a trip. We reached the city during the day. That day, we visited only the markets and then rested during the night. The next day, early in the morning we all left to watch the beautiful sunrise at Mt. Kanchenjunga from Tiger hill. The place was a bit crowded. It was very cold as it was around 5 am and the sun had not risen. We were all wearing heavy jackets and woolen clothes to keep from catching a cold.

From the tiger hill, the vast Mt. Kanchenjunga was visible in a distance. We could even see the clouds very clearly as we were high above them. The city of Darjeeling was also visible in a smaller form. The entire view looked so beautiful. There were also the native people living there serving tea to the tourists. We also had some, it was very warm and soothing. Then, slowly the time for the sunrise came near. Everyone took out their cameras and mobiles to capture the entire scenario.

I also, took out my phone to click pictures and make a video. Everyone started hooting and cheering as the sun started rising. Slowly, the rays of the sun started reflecting at Mt. Kanchenjunga and the entire white-colored mountain gave a golden glow. It gradually started becoming even more radiant. I was mesmerized by the beauty of the scene. Even the clouds and the city of Darjeeling started becoming more visible.

After this entire show, when the sun had risen considerably, everyone started heading back. It was a great event and one worth watching for.
