Hello strong women of steemwomenclub, hope we are all doing good. I'm so happy to participate in this wonderful contest and I want to specially appreciate @eventh-horizon for organizing this contest, and also a very big thanks to @crptokraze for sponsoring this great contest.

There are different traditional dishes here in Nigeria and today I will be sharing with you all one of my favorite traditional dishes called Egusi soup and eba. It is a traditional delicacy enjoyed by many Nigerian and it is very simple to prepare.

Why I like the dish: I don't just like egusi soup and eba but I love it because it is very rich and it is simple to prepare.

Ingredients
The ingredients I used are as follows;

  • Bumpkin leave
  • Goat meat
  • 2cups of egusi (melon)
  • 1tea spoon of salt
  • 6 cubes of Maggi
    1 onga seasoning
  • 1 onion
  • pepper
  • Crayfish
  • ponmo
  • stockfish
  • Palm oil
  • 1cup of eba (garri)

PROCEDURE

Step 1 wash your goat meat, ponmo stockfish, pumpkin leaves, pepper, and onion very well.

  • then grand the pepper mixed with onions and set aside.

  • Cut your ponmo into smaller pieces and set it aside.

  • cut-up your pumpkin leaves into smaller part and set aside

Step 2: Get a clean pot then Add the Goat meat, stockfish, and sliced ponmo into the pot, then add Maggi, salt, spices, and a small quantity of water.

  • then set your fire, place the pot on medium heat, and allow it to cook for few minutes, then pour it into a clean bowl.

Step 3: Now put the pot back on fire then add your Palm oil into the pot and allow it to heat for a minute then add your grated pepper and fry it well.

Step 4: Add your grounded egusi mixed with Crayfish into the mixture then stir it for few minutes on medium heat until the egusi is well fried.

Step 5: Then Add the boiled meats into the mixture and stir, add a small quantity of water into it, and allow it to cook for few minutes.

Step 6: Now add your cut-up pumpkin leaves into the mixture and stir.

  • Lastly, add your spices then allow the pumpkin leave to cook for a minute.

Now egusi soup or ready.

PROCEDURE ON HOW TO PREPARE EBA (Garri)

Step 1: Get a clean pot and add clean water into it then place the pot on the fire, allow the water to boil.

Step 2: Get a clean bowl, then pour the boiled water into the bowl then add your garlic into the boiled water and stir it very well with a wooden spatula.
