Hi girls! - ¡Hola chicas!

Today I am joining another Steem Women Club Community contest, I enjoy participating because on several occasions the contest has taken me out of my comfort zone, so any activity that allows me to try new things and give life to new skills pleases me. I am not a person who does handicrafts so this contest takes me out of my comfort zone because this time we are invited to recycle some material we have at home and transform it into something totally new and useful.

Hoy vuelvo a unirme a otro concurso de la Comunidad Steem Women Club, disfruto participando porque en varias ocasiones el concurso me ha sacado de mi zona de confort, así que toda actividad que me permita probar cosas nuevas y darle vida a nuevas habilidades me agrada. No soy una persona que haga manualidades así que por eso sigo que este concurso me saca de mi zona de confort pues en esta ocasión nos invitan a realizar a reciclar algún material que tengamos en casa y transformarlo en algo totalmente nuevo y que nos sea de utilidad.

I came up with the idea of making a cute Kawaii style pencil holder, I love this style of drawing and it is characterized because they have round and very cute eyes, I feel that I met the goal and it was very, very cute. I used a roll of toilet paper, cardboard that I took out of an old notebook that I don't use anymore, and also other materials to give it a nicer finish. *I hope you like it as much as I do!

Se me ocurrió hacer un lindo portalápices estilo Kawaii, este estilo de dibujo me encanta y se caracteriza porque los muñecos poseen ojos redondos y muy tiernos, siento que cumplí el objetivo y quedo muy pero muy tierno. Usé un rollo de papel higiénico, cartulina que saqué de un cuaderno viejo que ya no uso y también otros materiales para darle un acabado más lindo. ¡Espero que les guste tanto como a mí!

Portalápices estilo Kawaii

Materials | Materiales

• Toilet paper roll.

• Contact paper.

• Silicone (hot or cold) - Glue (white or stick).

• Black fine tip marker - Red marker.

• Scissors - ruler - pencil.

• Foami - cardboard - paper sheet.

• Hot silicone gun.

• Rollo de papel higiénico.

• Papel contact.

• Silicón (caliente o frío) - Pega (blanca o de barra).

• Marcador negro punta fina - Marcador rojo.

• Tijera - regla - lapicero.

• Foami - cartón - hoja de papel.

• Pistola de silicón.

How to make it?|¿Cómo hacerlo?

• Make the base of the pencil holder by copying a circle on the cardboard and cut it out.

• Realizar la base del portalápices, copiando un círculo en el cartón y recorta.

• Line the toilet paper tube with contact paper and glue the base with silicone.

• Forra el tubo de papel higiénico el papel contact y pega la base con silicón.

• Cut two strips of about 16 centimeters long x 1/2 centimeter wide, glue them on the bottom and top edge.

• Cortas dos tiras de unos 16 centímetros de largo x 1/2 centímetro de ancho, pégalas en el borde inferior y el superior.

• Now it's time to draw the face in Kawaii style, remember to draw very round eyes, add a nice smile and eyebrows.

• Ahora llegó el momento de dibujar el rostro al estilo Kawaii, recuerda colocarle ojos muy redondos, añadimos una linda sonrisa y cejas.

• To finish we draw a piece of the leaf with a red marker. We cut out the cheeks and the tongue and glue. We have finished our pencil holder!

• Para finalizar dibujamos un pedazo de hoja con marcador rojo. Recortamos las mejillas y la lengua y pegamos. ¡Hemos terminado nuestro portalápices!
