Memories
There are different opinions about whether we need them. Some people believe that it is not necessary to immerse oneself in memories, but to live only in the present, to look only to the future. Others are stuck in the past, living with memories and only memories.

For every journey there is a starting point and an end point. For you to reach your final destination is what is needed and always accounted for, THE HOW
My journey on steemit all started through a friend @mcsamm who in December 2017 introduced steemit to me, Fortunately for it was a day #teamghana by then was having a meet-up and he invited me for the meet-up.
First picture I took at the meeting.

Barely did I know what they were discussing at the meeting, everything sounded new to me. After the meeting @mcsamm took his time to digest everything to me and I had a fair idea about it. He done helped me with registration and in the next my accounts was verified. he again guided me as to how to write my first introduction post. I remember earning some coins on my introduction post an I was wow, so this is real. Things were gradually getting better as the @ashantiteam really helped newbies to be more active on steemit, Holding a lot of meetings on discord and awarding members who attend the meetings, some of the leaders who really helped we the newbies were @anaman, @collinz @steem4thepoor @tj4real, @johnsonkoranteng, @mcsamm, #and many other that I can't mention. I will always be grateful to the entire team for the time their had for just to make sure we all move together as a group.

The team organized many programs just to make sure the steemghana community increase in number.
I can clearly remember the promotion we had at KNUST where I can say many people were happy to hear about it and many signed up. Though just like I had my own doubt before joining, others too were having that same doubt.
WHAT TRIGGERED THE PROMOTION AS AT THAT TIME

We embark on promotions as our way of making contributions to Steemit.
The more people join the site and invest the stronger it becomes and in the long round a greater benefit for all of us.
Promotions also help in giving us recognition as a community in the steemit platform.
You will bear with us that many people troop in each day and it is hard to be recognized when you are alone. Being part of a community and working together simplifies a greater work.

√ Reaching out to students in the tertiary institutions on Steemit. With this, we will be visiting universities, polytechnics, and colleges.

√ Steemit Guest Party will be hosted every three months which will focus on inviting guest to dine with steemians and then use it as an opportunity to educate our guest about steemit.
The team believed that having active steemians is more important than having more inactive steemians.
We are not only interested in bringing in more people who will just end up as wanderers but people who will feel belonging and proud to be part of a bigger family that support each other.

We had a very successful program at KNUST CAMPUS.

As part of the promotional strategy, the team planned on a visit to The KUMASI CHILDRENS HOME with support from @ackza and many others, we were able to embarked on that successfully, the team donated items to the home and printed some steemit T-shirt to some of the children, Is indeed a memorable event.

As a matter of fact, that was the first time ever visiting the home and I was very happy being part of that.
What kept the team going was the Unity and the dedication, I remember, most of our leaders at that time were in Sunyani, but they will will be at any program the team decide to embark on.

Now I started to have more achievement and the badge keeps on coming, I was very happy when @steemboard wrote on post and congratulated me for that achievement.

WHAT CHANGE
As the saying goes, winners don't quit and quitters don't win, things started going down as my expectation were not met and steem at that time drastically dropped down and many of us were discourage to continue with steemit. * But as the saying again goes, it takes a determine person to endure hardship*.
I lost my login credentials and steemit was out from world. I remember asking @mcsamm sometime ago about steemit and he said it has be sold to another person and most people have moved away from there as their accounts were automatically moved to Hive.blog.

HOW I GOT BACK AGAIN
Your teacher will always be your teacher no matter, I left my teacher but my teacher was still looking for me to get back on steemit. I'm talking of @mcsamm, this guy has been my success story on steemit and I owe him a lot. I'm always grateful for been there for me.
We met one time in church and told me #sttemit is still rocking and many new people in Ghana are doing. I told him, I've lost my credentials and through his guidance, I was able to retrieved it back. Coming back on steemit brings me so much joy than ever, as I 've got the chance again to meet great people just like my formal days on steemit and things are quite different now compare to those days.
I remember in those days, steemit were having challenging's, but now is contest, where you can join any community and share your contest as well. @Steemghana community is doing a great job in helping its members to understand some basis on steemit and helping each one grow. @njaywan and oppongk been the country rep now is doing everything possible in ensuring that we have a very sustaining community. In other to bring back the old steemians back on steemit, they organized and supported a meet-up in December 2020 in Kumasi... I had a great time that very day, meeting the reps was just amazing and some of the old steemians as well.

So far so good, I've been able to share this good news about steemit to my friends and they have signed up. Some are yet to write their introduction post.

Is only the last 2 people who are yet to write their introduction post and soon I will help them with the introduction post for them to officially become a member of this platform.

It it very great to see the reps in different places, @oppongk being in the Ashanti region, @njaywan is also in the northern sector doing a fantastic job over there. Their effort has increased the number of the @steemghana community and that is an incredible job.
Through the effort of the leaders, we are able to hold up meetings on telegram every Saturday at 7:00pm and one mazing thing is they do award attendees with tokens.
It was through that meeting that brought up about our recent Easter meet-up in Kumasi and Navrongo respectively.

OUTCOMES FROM STEEMIT

  • Honestly speaking, good rewards always comes to those who are dedicated and the reward on steemit has duly paid me off. I can now say Steemit is far more than good than my recent job doing. I can earn 3times for what I'm taken from my job, Financially, steemit has really helped me a lot. And I believe as I move along and keep doing my possible best, I will attain more.
  • Socialization: Steemit has given the the opportunity to be more sociable, it has helped me to meet people from places, people I never thought of coming in contact with them, seeing my school mate at the meet-up was a great moment.
  • Again, steemit is a platform that has helped me in shaping my vocabulary, I was the type who hardly read or write on social media, but with steemit, I can able to write and find whatever information I'm looking for without strees.

Steemit is Indeed a way of changing lives. We have a great memory and story to tell our children.
I would like to extend my gratitude to @nattybongo for coming up with this initiative to remind ourselves some of the great memories we've had on steemit.
And many thanks to@ steemcurator1 and @steemcurator02 for supporting this great contest. Good luck to all the participant of this contest.
Thank you once again.
