Swans on the River Great Ouse

in WORLD OF XPILAR2 years ago (edited)

Travel the UK with me, some of my photos are a little bit old now I just never got around to editing them and putting them anywhere. I actually stopped photographing for fun for a good while as when photography is your job the last thing you want to do is carry your camera around for fun... they are heavy and very big or mine is!!! So I end up taking a lot of photos on my phone, but after a two year break from photography as a profession I am actually really drawn to picking it up again and taking it around with me, I especially love national trust houses and cute river or port towns.

The 15th-century bridge in St. Ives Cambridgeshire, is a serious hangout for the swans, I have never seen so many! The bridge is a Grade 1 listed Scheduled Ancient Monument and is one of only four bridges in England to incorporate a chapel. The Chapel of St Ledger, often referred to as the Chapel on the Bridge was built as part of the original bridge.
