This is my entry for B&W photography and art contest hosted by @axeman.

This photo was taken in the canal of St. Anthony, in the background you can see the fortress of St. Nicholas. The canal is dominated by a dense forest of pine trees, many pine trees in the canal grow very close to the sea.

Many of them break down and end up in the sea and then become dangerous for vessels in the canal, but in the summer they save swimmers in the canal with their shade.
