When to Use the #steemexclusive Tag?

On Saturdays, I curate the content with the steemcurator06 account. To do this, during the week, I look for quality posts that meet certain criteria. These criteria are described in this post.

One of the criteria is:

Your publication has to be plagiarism-free and #steemexclusive

I rarely come across outright plagiarism, but I often see the #steemexclusive tag being misused. Actually, you know that I'm crazy about statistics, so I'll tell you for sure, in 67% of the posts I've viewed, the #steemexclusive tag is used incorrectly. Why?

Case 1: The authors do not know when to use this tag

I have the impression that some authors do not understand when to use the #steemexclusive tag. They publish their posts on Steemit and almost simultaneously on Hive. So let me remind you that the #steemexclusive tag is only used for content that is published exclusively on Steemit, and nowhere else.

Case 2: Deliberate deception of curators

Last week, I chose the posts in good faith, starting on Monday, although I am voting on Saturday. On Monday, I selected two posts, checked them with the tool https://plagiarismdetector.net/. They were unique, so I kept the links to these posts in an excel file.

On Thursday, I checked other posts for plagiarism and accidentally checked one of the posts I chose on Monday. It turned out that he appeared in Hive three days later.

At first I didn't pay attention to it, I just deleted this post from the list. However, on Saturday, before the vote, I decided to check all the posts again. It turned out that three more posts appeared in Hive.

After finishing the curation with the SC06 account, I decided to investigate this issue in a little more detail. It turned out that some authors publish a post on Steemit, wait until they get booming support, and then publish their post on Hive. Well, that's not a good thing.

Case 3: Publication of information from open sources

No one forbids you to post information from open sources, indicating the source. But this information is not unique, so the #steemexclusive tag cannot be used in such posts.

I came across a post in which the author wrote a few words, the rest of the information was a quote from another Internet resource. The author did not forget to use the tag #steemexclusive. It is wrong to do so.

Conclusions

The authors want their posts to be supported. I'll tell you a secret. Curators want to support your posts. Let them do it. It's not difficult, you just need to follow the rules, including those described in this post.

Unfortunately, we have already seen in our community that users have published their formerly exclusive contribution again on another chain, either modified slightly or not at all.
When the curation time is over, there is not much you can do, except to rate future contributions lower. Then it can also be that one punishes users unjustly. A difficult topic.

Therefore, I find your approach of observation very good!

A difficult topic.

This is a really difficult topic. Posts are usually high quality. If authors are paid less, they will stop publishing on Steemit and switch completely to other platforms. This is also bad.

Therefore, I find your approach of observation very good!

Thank you, I try to do the job well :)

It's good that this is checked more, I wrote all my posts myself and of course created with my own photos, unless the situation required it, so with attribution.

Unfortunately, authors are not rated appropriately and the quality of the community suffers.

I am currently in talks with other partners who are mainly invested in etherium to risk an experiment with steem, a final decision will be the development of the course.

I see you've started a new community. Are you planning to develop it?

Yes definitly!

There is an conceptionsl idea behind!

This reply is unrelated to the topic. It has to do with your family or friends if they become refugees. I am in Canada, so I can't offer support in adjoining countries. I can offer my services to help refugees when they start coming to Canada.
I can start a website that Ukrainians or refugees might use if there is anything you think they might require.

Good day. I live in Western Ukraine. Many refugees are coming to us now and we are accommodating them here. We help with clothes, various things and money. But I don't know anything about those who go abroad. Will they need a website? I think now they need any help.

I might have a couple of Korean teenage girls needing assistance. They are currently in Mykolaiv (Nikolayev). I have set up a contact in Cherkasy. They can meet at Dnipro Plaza, and decide to spend the night or continue on. Is there a Plaza close to your area they might go to next?
Do you know which is the next safest step?

I live in the small town of Kalush, and there is, of course, no Plaza. I can do little to help you.

Your girls need to go by train to Lviv, and from there to Poland. I heard that there are additional evacuation trains now.

Another option is to find housing with this service: https://prykhystok.in.ua/ Depending on where they find housing, go there.

So far, traveling by train is the safest way.

In any case, they need to go in the direction of Lviv. It is now the most popular emigration route, as it is the largest transport interchange near the Polish border.

good luck always friend
