A photo every day. (39/366)- ¿Pimientos o ajíes?/ Peppers or chili peppers? /

El año pasado guardamos semillas de pimentones y de ajíes en un pequeño envase, en octubre hicimos un vivero. Germinaron muchas semillas, que fueron transplantadas a potes reciclados (envases de agua potable). Sólo cuatro plantitas sobrevivieron el invierno, refugiadas en la sala, compartiendo con nosotros el televisor y la vida familiar. Una creció muchísimo y sacó innumerables flores blancas, que caían al piso. Después de mucho esperar, llegamos a la conclusión que era maleza. Mi hijo la podó, porque ya estaba apoyándose en la pantalla del televisor y al llegar la primavera todas las plantas salieron al balcón.

Hace dos semanas descubrí un fruto largo, casi del largo de las hojas. Fue todo un acontecimiento. Las otras tres plantas ni siquiera mostraron flores, aunque también fueron podadas. ¡Misterios de la naturaleza!

Nos falta , además saber si se trata de pimentones o chiles. Pronto lo sabremos, mientras tanto ahí van poco a poco creciendo.

Last year we kept paprika and chili seeds in a small container, in October we built a nursery. Many seeds germinated, which were transplanted into recycled pots (drinking water containers). Only four seedlings survived the winter, sheltered in the living room, sharing with us the television and family life. One grew very large and brought out countless white flowers, which fell to the floor. After a long wait, we concluded that it was undergrowth. My son was able to, because he was already leaning on the TV screen and when spring came all the plants came out onto the balcony.

Two weeks ago I discovered a long fruit, almost the length of the leaves. It was quite an event. The other three plants did not even show flowers, although they were also pruned. Mysteries of nature!

We also need to know if it is paprika or chili peppers. We will soon know, meanwhile there they grow little by little.
