I wander calling for you, demented, hallucinating,
Where are you, my love? Where... where... where?...
The echo whispers near me... wretched one...
And only the voice of the echo, ironic, replies!
I stretch out my arms! I still call for you!
The wind, sighing in my ears, murmurs softly;
It seems like your voice, your beautiful voice,
Singing like a river bathed in moonlight!
I cry out my pain, my intense pain!
This enormous longing, this immense yearning!
And only the voice of the echo answers my call...
Crying your name, I sob and scream to the sea, the earth,
And the pure blue sky:
Where are you, my love? Where... where... where?...
