Hi friends!

Another shape we get by dividing the circle into six equal parts is the six-pointed star.
We get it by drawing an equilateral triangle like the one below.

Otra forma que obtenemos al dividir el círculo en seis partes iguales es la estrella de seis puntas.
Lo obtenemos dibujando un triángulo equilátero como el de abajo.

Then using the remaining intersection points we can draw another equilateral triangle but this time it will result inverted. So we obtain the six-pointed star.

Luego, utilizando los puntos de intersección restantes, podemos dibujar otro triángulo equilátero, pero esta vez resultará invertido. Así obtenemos la estrella de seis puntas.

By projecting the edges of the six-pointed star we can make the mesh we need as a base for a tessellation.

Proyectando los bordes de la estrella de seis puntas podemos hacer la malla que necesitamos como base para un teselado.

This is one example of a tessellation of the many you can draw.

Este es un ejemplo de un teselado de los muchos que puedes dibujar.

The six-pointed star is one of the oldest Christian symbols of God.
In the Jewish faith, the six-pointed star is called the Star of David and is the most recognizable symbol of Judaism.
By cutting the triangles alternately at the edges where they intersect you get this characteristic interlacing of the Star of David.

La estrella de seis puntas es uno de los símbolos cristianos más antiguos de Dios.
En la fe judía, la estrella de seis puntas se llama Estrella de David y es el símbolo más reconocible del judaísmo.
Cortando los triángulos alternativamente en los bordes donde se cruzan se obtiene este entrelazado característico de la Estrella de David.

Another representation containing both mystical meanings and mathematical concepts is this one below, where we see two tribars or Penrose triangles, which are also a variant of the Moebius strip intertwined forming an impossible figure.
The impossible figures were widely represented in the magnificent engravings of M.C. Escher.
