Each year only ten interns were selected by Kind Lab, Inc to perform their internships, all exceptional students with the best academic record and an impeccable track record as students of the prestigious Saylor University, noted for the training of its professionals who occupied great positions in the global pharmaceutical industry.

Of these ten opportunities, three were reserved for students with scholarships from Kind Lab, Inc, these students came from St. Peter's Orphanage which was sponsored by the Laboratory, a laudable work that more than 30 years ago was carried out by this successful company led by the septuagenarian Mr. Duncan, scientist, and philanthropist. Who affirmed that your origin does not determine your triumph or failure, he himself was an orphan who today managed the largest pharmaceutical industry in the entire Independent Nation.

When Albert received the news of his selection in the Kind Lab INC scholarship program, he literally jumped for joy. In one week he and his nine classmates would be leaving for the most technologically advanced laboratory of the moment, creators of the miracle serum capable of preventing human aging.

The young fellows left for Kind Lab, little was known about the place because only authorized personnel could access to Hulom Camp and contemplate the beauty of the building that Albert had in front of his eyes, to his surprise was a subway building shaped like a mountain and made of sulcium a material capable of withstanding even nuclear bombs, adorned with small windows of blue sulcium, which surrounded the entire building.

Albert would share a room with the two boys from the orphanage, Rolando and Kiran, he had known them all his life but had no better relationship with them. Once in the room they unpacked their things and set out on a guided tour of the facilities. The boys could hardly believe they were stepping into Kind Lab, they had heard a lot about the lab but nothing compared to what was being talked about at the University, the reality exceeded their expectations by far.

They had lunch and then went to their room, a day of hard work awaited them the next morning. Albert woke up and noticed that Kiran was not in his bed, he thought it was strange so when Miss Dulte, their guide, came by the room to pick them up, he asked her about him. She told him that he had gone to the infirmary during the night because he had felt sick to his stomach. Albert thought it was strange that he hadn't felt it when Karin left the room, he had always been a light sleeper but maybe the trip and the excitement had made him sleep like a log.

All the students were being led by Miss Dulte when Albert noticed that he had forgotten his tablet in the room, he needed it to make his notes. So little by little he sneaked out to look for it, he was getting there when he heard voices near his room, by instinct he didn't look out to the corridor while he heard a man saying to another one: One orphan less, only two more to go!, he heard a short laugh while the voices moved away.

Albert entered the room and saw that Karin's things were gone, the beds were neatly made up. He grabbed his tablet and one of his little inventions, his flame-throwing pen. Suddenly he remembered the orphan interns that had been, perhaps in that very room, he had never seen them again. He only knew that they were working for Kind Lab INC at their various locations worldwide. Or weren't they? Determined to find out the truth, he headed out to catch up with his classmates to begin his first day of internship.
