RE: A World Without Colour - BW

in WORLD OF XPILAR4 months ago

I wonder when you had the colored camera for the first time Kitty, in my home town the first time I saw someone with a camera was in the 1990s or something.

When at that time we only had one BW TV in the village public building, and everyone gathered there to watch it and the power supply was 12 Volt Battery. Electricity came to my village in 1997, before that year we used to have kerosene lamps, but fire accidents were really rare, but now electricity is everywhere and most of the fire accidents are caused by short circuit burns of the electricity. actually, it makes me confused

Have a good day and my X send you special greeting, she is with me now

I can remember the colour tv being delivered. It was during dinnertime. My father said it were studybooks so I sat down on the box. Of course he told me not to and I answered: Why? If these are books...
It was at the end of the 80s but we rarely were allowed to watch because the living room was forbidden area. My grandmother had a colour tv long before us. We did had phone and later an answering machine because of my mother's profession.

We had kerosine lamps too but as we moved nearby Rotterdam into a new built house (they were still building) there was electricity. We never had a fire or accident, plenty of candles also in the christmas tree.

Just like with you all accidents and broken equipment (burned) and fires (I had one) are always caused by the electricity network and not because of stormy weather (lightning).
Till today we take each plug out of the socket after using the equipment and I only use what does not use too much KwH and with as less tech as possible. Once I let the electricity measure in a former house and it turned out it was far of stable. The electrician advised me to only use electric devices as simple as possible.

The Agfamatic 50, a simple camera, could make coloured pictures but if the colour roll already existed it was extremely expensive.

At a certain moment I remember during vacations we used those throw away camera's. You could buy them with 36 colour photos and gave the entire camera to the photoshop. I doubt these photos were that bad or worse than the agfamatic 50.

About 7 or 8 years later I bought another camera. I tried to remember the name but I can't. Most likely it was a canon.

Mijn SLR camera was a Nikon. I've had 2 digital camera's but both were not too good (mainly because of the batteries) but I used it a lot. Negative is they are slow just like my phone. But it is as it is.

Now my son wants us to buy a better one to take photos of birds of prey, the deers but it will easily cost 2000 euros which is an aweful lot of money. I also don't know if it can be tried out like in the old days. It might be hard since most likely everything is sold online.
If at all a requirement for me would be a warantee of at least two years.

Well, if filthy rich and still alive I can always ask the phktographers I know.

Good to hear she's back. I hope she's rested and had fun. My regards & love to you and your family!

P. S. If it comes to the electricity here I doubt it is up to date. Everything is old. We frequently have blackouts and the power plant is ancient plus we are at the end of the row.
