In 1979, i the delayed New Year's ski jumping race in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, the organizer had overslept after the party for the New Year, and they did not notice the weather changing condition during the night, and the accident was there for Per Bergerud. He he landed directly on his head on the bullet, and he was tossed and flung down the runaway. And the helmet saved his life, and he just woke up in the hospital. The boy from Flesberg and representing Svene IL in Norway came back the year after 1979, namely in 1980.

So, Per Bergerud was a great ski jumper from Norway, and he was also world champion in ski jumping, and he was amazing with jumping in the ski jumping hills where he participated when he was an active ski jumper. And everyone of us can jump on skis, but not all of us are qualified and disposed to win ski jumping competitions in the world class and among the best ski jumpers in the world.

Per Bergerud debuted internationally in the German and Austrian ski jumping week already in 1974, and his fist victory came in 1978 in the Bergisel Ski Jump in Innsbruck, and this was considered as one of his favorite hills. He repeated the victory in the same ski jumping hill in 1982, when he also was number three in total in the ski jumping week. In 1979, he won in Holmenkollen in Norway after an exciting duel with Johan Sætre. Bergerud experienced the the highlight of a long career in the WC in Seefeld, where he reached the top placement in the large ski jumping hill, and he took the bronze medal in the normal hills, and Per Bergerud was also engaged by winning team jumping in WC in 1982 in Oslo.

The world cup in ski jumping was arranged from the season 1979/80. Bergerud won four world cup races in his career (Vikersund 1980, Engelberg 1981 and 1983, and in addition Innsbruck and Lake Placid in 1980, and in 1984 in Sarajevo).

Per Bergerud won eight individual NM gold medals, and he received five royal trophies, and in 1985 he was assigned the Holmenkollen medal. And you know, the more one can win in the life, the better the situation is for yourself, and for all the people and all the environments around us. And we should do what we can and master, and we should ignore badly things, and we should just be the best in the world in many academic disciplines.

Garmisch-Partenkirkchen is located in the southern part of Germany, to the border of Austria. And there is the highest mountain in Germany there, and this is called for Zugspitze. And you can do what you are used to in Garmisch-Partenkirkchen, also ordering the hotel accomodation and the places where you like to be satisfied. And Zugspitze is about 2 962 metres above sea level, and therefore the hill is pretty high.

You know, the German and Austrian ski jumping week is just about getting as many points as you can during four competitions, and four ski jumping hills to take part in. And first there are two competitions in Germany, and so there are two ski jumping competitions in Austria. And many ski jumpers from different countries have won these competitions, and everything on the highest level is about competition as professor Michael E. Porter writes it, and he also has lectures about these things both for the organizations and the societies. And today, we do just need our families and our friends, and we are open for making extensions in our networks, just as we are in the life, and just as we are perceiving many things that are happening.
