MONOMAD - By the lake (3 Photos)
The photos were taken at Inle Lake, Myanmar. It's the cottages that belongs to my hotel Golden Island Cottages on the eastern side of the lake. Just like the villages on the lake, the hotel is built on stilts. The Inle Lake region is one of Myanmar's most popular tourist destinations. It's a freshwater lake 884 m. above sea level. It's a vast, serene lake – 13.5 miles long and 7 miles wide – fringed by marshes and floating gardens, where stilt-house villages and Buddhist temples rise above the water. Surrounding the lake are hills that are home to many minorities. The only way to get around is by boat.
