THE DIARY GAME: 01.08.2020. Le strade del Gusto a Bologna. (ITA/EN).

E’ iniziata la grande avventura del gioco del Diario che sono felice di portare avanti con la squadra Italiana di Italygame. In questi giorni mi trovo in una città che non è la mia : sono a Bologna e quindi nei miei quotidiani racconti del Diario per qualche giorno vi porto con me in giro per questa splendida città. Una città del nord Italia che anche io scopro assieme a voi con grande piacere. Non mancano cerco i motivi di interesse. Bologna è una città ricca di attrattive: possiede un patrimonio storico e architettonico di grande interesse, è una città universitaria frequentata da giovani che provengono da tutto il mondo. E’ una città che possiede una tradizione gastronomica famosa in tutto il mondo. Una vera e propria eccellenza Italiana. Ma è tutta la regione Emiliana, di cui Bologna è la capitale, ad avere una ricchissima tradizione nella produzione alimentare.

Oggi sono subito voluta andare in una parte del centro storico che è il cuore di questa tradizione. In particolare sto parlando delle strade vicino alla Piazza Maggiore e alle Torri degli Asinelli (simbolo della città) dove si trovano tante trattorie, rivendite di frutta e verdure, il Mercato di Mezzo e il bellissimo centro di Eat Italy. Precisamente ci troviamo nel quartiere chiamato del Quadrilatero che è da sempre dedicato al commercio e soprattutto il centro della tradizione gastronomica della città.

Oggi mi sono voluta fare un’idea di questa parte della città tutta dedicata al gusto e ai sapori della tradizione alimentare Bolognese. Esperienza fantastica…ricca di colori e tentazioni. Devo dire che passeggiare la mattina in queste vie è molto piacevole. Non si trova tantissima gente in giro poiché gli effetti della riduzione del turismo a causa del covid – 19 si fanno sentire anche in questa città. Questo fatto mi ha consentito di fermarmi con calma a fotografare soprattutto delle vetrine di alimentari e questi bei negozi di frutta che espongono la loro merce in modo perfetto….come fossero gioielli! E’ bellissimo curiosare dentro alcuni negozi come salumerie e pastifici o drogherie.

Zucchine, melanzane, ciliegie , peperoni, susine , cipolle , pomodori di tante forme e colori… un trionfo di colori. Ma in questo quartiere si incontrano anche tanti negozi di pasta che espongono non solo i famosissimi tortellini bolognesi, ma anche altri tipi di pasta fresca come ad esempio le tagliatelle o i panzerotti. I prosciutti e i derivati della carne sono poi una vera e propria eccellenza Bolognese. Personalmente sono alla ricerca della mitica mortadella rosa, caratteristica del tutto bolognese, che vorrei proprio assaggiare.

Fermata obbligatoria, anche se veloce, al Mercato di Mezzo dove mi è piaciuta molto questa possibilità di comprare dei prodotti ma anche e di poter mangiare : infatti ci sono alcuni tavolini proprio per consumare gli alimenti. Insomma, anche se sono italiana e abituata comunque alla buona cucina, non posso non ammettere che Bologna è una tentazione continua per il nostro palato.

In these days I am in a city that is not mine: I am in Bologna and therefore in my daily stories from the Diary for a few days I take you around this beautiful city with me. A city in northern Italy that I too discover with you with great pleasure. There is no shortage of reasons for interest.

Bologna is a city full of attractions: it has a very interesting historical and architectural heritage, it is a university city frequented by young people who come from all over the world. It is a city that has a gastronomic tradition famous all over the world. A real Italian excellence. But it is the whole Emilian region, of which Bologna is the capital, to have a very rich tradition in food production. Today I immediately wanted to go to a part of the historic center which is the heart of this tradition. In particular, I'm talking about the streets near Piazza Maggiore and the Asinelli Towers (symbol of the city) where there are many trattorias, fruit and vegetable shops, the Mercato di Mezzo and the beautiful center of Eat Italy. Precisely we are in the neighborhood called the Quadrilatero which has always been dedicated to trade and above all the center of the city's gastronomic tradition. Today I wanted to get an idea of this part of the city entirely dedicated to the taste and flavors of the Bolognese food tradition.

Fantastic experience… full of colors and temptations. I must say that walking in the streets in the morning is very pleasant. There are not many people around since the effects of the reduction of tourism due to the covid - 19 are also felt in this city. This fact allowed me to stop calmly to photograph above all the food showcases and these beautiful fruit shops that display their goods perfectly ... as if they were jewels! It is beautiful to browse inside some shops such as delicatessens and pasta factories or grocery stores.

Zucchini, aubergines, cherries, peppers, plums, onions, tomatoes of many shapes and colors ... a triumph of colors. But in this neighborhood there are also many pasta shops that display not only the famous Bolognese tortellini, but also other types of fresh pasta such as tagliatelle or panzerotti. The hams and meat products are then a real Bolognese excellence. Personally I am looking for the legendary pink mortadella, a completely Bolognese characteristic, which I would like to taste .. Mandatory stop, albeit fast, at the Central Market where I really liked this opportunity to buy products but also and to be able to eat: in fact there are some tables just to consume food. In short, even if I'm Italian and still accustomed to good food, I cannot fail to admit that Bologna is a continuous temptation for our palate. That's all for today.
