Yesterday was Victory Day. This is one of the main holidays in Russia. The fact is that the last big war, which ended for the majority on May 9, 1945, left a very large and terrible mark on the fate of Russia and the fate of all the inhabitants of the country.

There is no family that has not been touched by the grief of this war. A huge number of victims, a huge number of wounded, who came from the war without arms, legs. Forever traumatized psyche.

And what destruction this war has brought.

People who have gone through this horror are not ready to fight yet. They survived this hell and they know for sure that no one needs war anymore. It is not surprising that our allies, who had a little bit of the horrors of war, were also not ready to go to extreme measures and start a new world war.

For 76 years now, there is no big war in the world and this is happiness for all the inhabitants of our planet.

On May 9 - Victory Day, I always try to come to the memorial and honor the memory of the heroes who survived and won. This applies not only to those who fought with weapons in their hands. This also applies to those who themselves starved in the rear, but fed the front. These are peasants, whose life during the war was even worse and worse than at the front.

The workers who remained in the factories worked without sleep or rest - if only the front was equipped with weapons and means of fighting the enemy.

One of my grandfathers was still a child and worked on the railway. Despite the fact that it was the rear, he saw how the Germans bombed the railway and for the rest of his life remained in his soul a scar from what he saw. How bombs hit people.

Another grandfather of mine during the war mastered the flying profession at the school. He became a fighter pilot, but did not manage to get to the front. War is over.

It doesn't matter, he still remains a hero to me.

And every time on May 9, going out into the street, I feel gratitude to my grandfathers, to the veterans who are almost gone. I feel that this day of memory and sorrow, this day of joy through tears is one of my main and favorite days of the year.

Happy Victory Day!
