| What makes your chosen dish so special to you? |

It was four days long Durga Puja most widely celebrated fastival all over India in last month. Particularly in West Bengal this is the most important festival of the year. Durga Puja of Kolkata is declared by UNESCO as the Intangible Cultural Heritage.
During Durga Puja entire city remain awake for four days. People used to move from place to place hopping pandal to pandal through out the city. There are even more than 100 thousands of people visiting one Durga Idol.
One has to wait for few hours to get seat in a ordinary covered restaurant. Several crores of food get sold in a day by stree vendors.
In most of families it is the most auspicious time of the years and many rituals like offering anjolee with flowers in empty stomach to Devi Durga on Saptami, Astami and Navami.
Like us many did not eat non-vegetarian food during these three days.

On the following day of Dashami Baran is performed at first as married women bid farewell to the Goddess.

On this day we leave the vegetarian food and we cook our favourite non vegitarian dishes made of fishes and chicken. Only one green banana kopta is included in the menu as constipated food. All the items are made with regular spices used through out the year in Bengali cuisine.
| What emotions do you wish to convey? |

After having three consecutive days without nonvegitarian dishes Bengali who survive on fish and rice through out the year become fastidious of having the nonvegitarian food on that day.
It's very nostalgic that many rituals like Dashami Puja held with raw fish has stopped many years ago in our house. This culture of preparation of few extra dishes is the only practice still followed on this occasion.
