INTRODUCTION

If you still have your parents alive, you need to appreciate them everyday and also buckle up in your endeavors. They want to see you succeed, they want to see you prosper, they want to see you happy and it would be so disappointing to break their heart by not taking life seriously. Parents are the only people who have your interest in heart,they are the only people who can sell their only plot of land to save your ass, they are the only people who will sell their wrapper, take loans to help you move forward in life. Try as much as you can to make them proud.

How did my parents shaped my personality?

My parents shaped my personality through their influence on my life. First, my parents shape my personalities through modeling behavior. I choosed my parents as my role model because they are the only people who I want to mimic their behavior. My parents also shaped my personality through the rules and expectations they set. It impact a sense of responsibility, independence, and self-esteem to me.

Also when it comes to discipline my parents would be scored A. As a teenager I was never given the freedom to move freely like other teenage girls, I was also restricted of keeping male friends because we were taught we can get pregnant from talking to a guy😂😂 This rules affected my sense of right and wrong and now as an adult I'm always on track when it comes to situations that required me to stay disciplined.

My parents also shaped my personality by teaching me contentment. I'm always contended with whatever I have, I have never aspire to have what others have because I don't know how they got them. If I have #1000 I go for what it can buy with 1k, I work legally to get whatever I want. If you'll agree with me, you will understand that not being contented is why alot of people go into ritualism, scamming, organ harvesting or all manners of evil things. They want to have the kind of life that took some 20years to get overnight.

What role my parents played in my overall well being?

Generally, I can say, my parents made me who I'm today... Especially towards my academics, my business and my life in general. They provided everything that I needed as at when due. And reminded me, how I shouldn't be the "tail" in the family 'cause virtually all my brothers are scholars in their own right, else I would serve them at the later stage of life.

Other roles my parents played in my overall wellbeing are;

• First My parents play a crucial role in my overall well-being by providing emotional support for me and my siblings, which is important for our mental and emotional health.

• Secondly, my parents help me develop healthy habits, like eating nutritious foods, getting enough sleep, and exercising.

• Third, my parents helped me develop social skills, like making friends, dealing with conflict, and communicating effectively.

• Finally, my parents helps me to find meaning and purpose in life, through activities like religion, hobbies, or community service.

How do my parents encourage my dreams and aspirations?

My Dad had passion for community development. But funds limited him to a great extent. So, seeing his passion for community growth has inspired me greatly to pursue finances with all my might and legitimately, to ensure I have enough funds to develop my home community. Aside this I also want to be able to afford everything I want in life and be able to provide for my family.

My parents encourage my dreams and aspiration because they open-minded and supportive of my ideas, even if they are unconventional or challenging. My parents offer me practical help and advice, like finding opportunities for me to explore their interests and sometimes they give me the resources to pursue my goals. The most interesting part is how my parents model their perseverance and hard work by showing me how they have overcome challenges in their own lives.

Share an experience that highlighted my parents sacrifices for me?

I was in SS1 when they was no money to pay for our tuition fees that term (#13,500) plus my twin sister, makes it #27,000 (well, I'm a twin😇). I went with my Mom for a loan, where they do women meeting together she was told she couldn't get another loan because she hasn't paid back the one she borrowed for my elder brother who graduated from the University the previous year. I saw tears streaming down her cheek, and that incident broke my heart and made me realize how much they have sacrificed, to bring us this far.

Family is always and forever ❣️ nobody is going to do the things parents do for you for free, it's impossible to be lazy when you see your parents shade tears because they can't afford to provide everything you needed for you but still want you to succeed. There are lots of sacrifices my parents have made for me that I can't even pay them back in this life.

Today we are doing great, they don't have to borrow to provide for us again, they get everything they want on a platter of gold, they don't have to struggle to settle their own bills, if they were not in the picture from the beginning we would never know what sacrifice is all about.

In conclusion

Parents play a vital role in shaping their children's dreams and aspirations. By being open-minded and supportive, offering practical help, and modeling perseverance, parents can set their children up for success in pursuing their goals. And in all your getting, get wisdom, cause wisdom is the principal thing we all need.
