Beware of the youtube hackers

You see a live stream with a catchy opportunity to multiply your crypto and are attracted to watch the video
The modus operandi is generally to ask the audience to send their crypto to a wallet address and double the amount would be returned to them.
This is a common scam one may say.
Except this time it is a bit different.

The little youtube tweak

This time round a large number of youtube accounts of popular crypto exchanges and youtube crypto influencers are hacked and a video is posted with test instructions.
Asking the viewers to send their crypto to specified wallet addresses in the video.
This looks like a scene from a sci -fi movie except for the fact that it just happened as one of the scam hitting news of 2022.
Since this happened to so many accounts around the world in the same time frame it looks like a hack with a difference.
Perhaps the hackers knew a trick or two about bypassing 2fa and access the posting accounts of crypto influencers and exchanges.

Many may have fallen for this scam

Indeed when we see a video from a trusted user we tend to believe it and this may have led to many falling into this trap or crypto scam.

The damage would have been a lot more if they would be able to bypass the security of crypto exchanges.
So the best security would be not to leave too much crypto on exchanges instead keep it safe in offline wallets.

Most of all keep the mind in the right place do not give into greed (easier said than done)

Try to double check and verify info before acting on such videos and schemes. I know often the sense of FOMO sets in one may take a wrong decision.
However one must be extremely cautious.

Always remember not your keys not your crypto

keep your crypto keys backed up and secure at all times

Yes I have also read about it hackers are now attacking every field we need to keep ourself safe from them and our account.

We need to set 2fa to our account so that we cannot get trapped a good security will prevent any future attack on our account.

agree 100%

Hi friend @thetimetravelerz
Is good to have you active here, and bringing as usual good information.
I had not heard about this, it is totally crazy, to think that they could do this scam in a coordinated manner, makes me think that online security must be taken into account, more and more, because these things can continue to happen.
The main thing is to be informed, educate yourself, do not look for easy money because out of greed you can fall into these terrible traps. Thanks for the information. Regards.

At this point in time, one needs to be careful of bad actors that perpetrate cyber crimes. This is so that one should avoid falling into scams and lose their funds.

Thanks for sharing buddy

so true ! with almost all work and social activities moving online the cyber crooks are having a field day for sure .

Hello friend, thank you very much for this information, bad people will always be in this world, we must take care of ourselves and our capital. That is why education is important. Greetings!

Thanks for stopping by and sharing your views :)

Greetings @thetimetravelerz this has become a problem, I was unaware of this form of scam, what is often seen is that many influential youtuber lend themselves to promote NTF games that end up being scan scams, at this point we must learn to filter the entries of our investments.

Greetings
