Don't get distracted from your target - Business mindset
There is this popular sayings that I love so much while growing up. It goes like this, 'if wishes were horses, beggars will ride'. In life you should know that it is not all the time you have to wish. You have to set your target and go after achieving it. While trying to do this, bear in mind that obstacles will surely set in. When this happens don't just let it weigh you down, rise up on your feet and get things achieved.
While with him, I asked him how he was able to achieve all this despite all the hardship in the country. He told me the secret to his success is getting to work and no procrastination. He went further by telling me that in the year 2017, he had the plan of starting the business he is currently running. Why everything was in place, the only thing dragging him backward was procrastination/fear. He said he was talking to himself one day and he said, how is he going to do it, who shall he target. He is that shy type that doesn't have much friends, so he is just basing his progress towards his hood and locality only.
He looked to me and said bro, the above was the main reason I failed while trying to first pick a start back then. Because I was that type that is very inquisitive, I asked him how he re-bounce and became what he is today. He laughed and said, I conquered my fear. He went further by saying that after the saga that happened in the year 2017, he went back to the drawing board and addresses some issues surrounding his downfall. He then realise that he doesn't need to have thousand of friends or family members to succeed, he just need determination and the ability to conquer fear and procrastination, then every other thing will fall in place.
With all this being known to him after he attended a business seminar, he decided to come out of the hidden shell and take the bull by the horn. He started the business without thinking of how it will go. He got his mind made up for the worst. He started gradually, and at first, things was acting on him. According to him, he took him just two (2) years and the market accepted him. He noticed that during his start, the families and friends which he was thinking will be his back bone where no where to be found. He noticed that it was the friends that he never knew that came to the rescue of his business. They took the business by storm and today he is a proud CEO.
When you have your mind set up on achieving something, you should get your focus straight and keep pushing. Somewhere along the line you will get hit up, just keep on doing your best and at the end of it, you will be glad you never give up.
From the above we can see that Mr Gilbert was almost distracted from his dream because of procrastination and fear, but immediately he realises that he can't dwell in fear, things began to happen for him and he is now a proud CEO. What is that limiting factor affecting you, don't dwell in it, rise up and take that business by storm. Keep trying and things will surely work out at the right time.
