Yeah I don't like them either. Posting in communities guarantees less people will see your post, and cross posting is a pain for end users having to click a link over to the original post. Generic tags seem better for now.

Totally agree with you appreciated @sketch.and.jam.
It seems to me that there was some improvisation in the launch of the communities in steemit. Maybe this would be influenced by the merger with Tron?
I hope those failures will be corrected soon.
