How do we know we are going through an existential crisis?

The main protagonist to detect if we are in an existential crisis is ourselves, that is why it is important to be educated to understand some essential keys to detect some emotional gaps that are generated when we have an existential crisis.

In many occasions of our lives we can feel an existential crisis without knowing it, because although this emotion is so intense it can also be very difficult to detect and understand.

The harmful of the case is that when we fail to detect that we have an existential crisis is generated in us a series of discomforts that are linked to the emotions that are derived from an existential crisis, but without realizing this situation is taking over our being and we fail to be aware of what is happening, everything reaches an extreme state, where the conformism is the protagonist, since it reaches the point where we come to wrongly assume that we can no longer do anything for ourselves or that no one can do anything for ourselves to improve our emotional state.

It is undoubtedly very important to know what an existential crisis is and thus be able to detect it and improve our mood, assuming that an existential crisis is the way in which we manage to understand and experience the most abstract thoughts we have in a given situation and under a complicated context.

Under such experimentation we manage to generate an emotional discomfort in our mind and our senses that leads us to quickly perceive that our discomfort is because we notice little by little that when we have the absence of something that gives meaning to our life, or even leads us to think that the absence or abundance of elements makes us place ourselves in a plane where the only thing that makes sense in our life is the end of our existence.

When we let other people be the ones who impose our life references is because we are in an existential crisis, because when we allow other people to make decisions in our lifestyle is because we are being conformist to our purposes, we must be alert to this sign, since its detection will allow us to work effectively to be as far as possible from an existential crisis.

Also when we suffer a problem in which we feel alone, even if we are accompanied, it is a warning that we are facing an existential crisis, before this signal we generate questioning of some aspects of our existence as human beings that we are, when this happens, apart from going through an existential crisis we also leave the social aspects as a second plane.

There are many warning signs that allow us to diagnose when we are facing an existential crisis, however I only wanted to explain some of the ones I consider most important, and thus understand the importance of this detection.

I think it is something that we have all felt at some point, not knowing what we want, feeling lonely, sad, or without the will to move forward. I agree with you at some point we have gone through an existential crisis, but not all of us know how to diagnose what is happening to us, although we have many warning signs that will allow us to know that we are going through an existential crisis, one of the alerts could be that we suffer a problem in which we feel alone, although we are accompanied, it is a warning that we are facing an existential crisis.

Exactly we can be going through these crises being aware, or many times we do not know how to manage our emotions, example of them the loss of a family member, farewell, love disappointments, the most important thing is to diagnose the problem in time to take the necessary corrections.

At some stage of our lives we go through some kind of crisis, I believe that especially in adolescence feelings of sadness, boredom or questioning are common, which implies a change in personality. I think you have to try to handle significant and stressful situations well, such as the crossroads in front of a decision, as they easily trigger this type of crisis.
