Electric cars will account for 50% of new sales by 2030 and 85% by 2035 if policies are maintained. But they could reach 100% by 2035.
"If lawmakers raise CO2 emissions targets for vehicles and intensify other policies to stimulate the market, such as faster deployment of charging points," according to Transport and Environment.
