Become Productive, Never Ignore the One Minute Rule Again

in Project HOPE4 years ago

A lot of us set out plan for the day and then we are unable to get the plans done because we have fallen victim of distraction, this means we have successfully wasted our time on something that was not really relevant, you may have planned to engage in meaningful comment on the platform today but just as you begin the comment, you receive a face book message from a long-time friend and it is irresistible so you quickly check it out, your friend was excited to hear from you after a long time just like you were also excited and happy to hear from her and you both started to chat the next time you check your wrist watch you realize you have spent three hours chatting with your friend and this is the time you would have used on meaningful engagements within the community.

Gretchen Rubin was the author who designed the ‘’One-minute rule’’ to help people increase their level of productivity every single day, her idea was to remind people about how every second in the day counts for something and how those seconds and minutes could be used for profitable things.
Her point is to encourage people not to overlook every second available in a day, there are simple tasks you can choose to do with every passing moment instead of waiting two minutes more, choose to get up and do it instantly because within that two minutes, you would have been able to cover up several one other task or even a part of another task.
The ‘’One-minute rule’’ is a reminder that time is of the essence and it is very important that we pay rapt attention to every single detail and information, you can accomplish every task in your to-do list if you pay attention to every minute in the day. When you pay attention to every minute, you will be surprised as to how much you are able to accomplish within a very short period of time.

Your attitude of continuous ignoring of the ticking of the clock is the reason why you are always unable to stick to time and you are unable to achieve your goal for the day, the clock is regularly ticking and it keeps ticking until the time the clock in your house gets spoilt, stop ignoring the hand and ticking sound of the clock and watch yourself become someone who is able to meet up with set goals and targets for the day.

You are right. At times the mentality of there is still more time tends to make one less productive. And like they say procrastination is the murder of all plan. When we failed to utilize our time opportunity, we fail to utilize the productive opportunity

I appreciate your response @mandate, thanks so much.
