Memecoins have seen tremendous adoption over the last six months, with significant capital inflows into the sector. The artificial intelligence and RWA sectors also look promising, but the extraordinary gains from memecoins in the first quarter of the year have shifted investor focus towards them.
With BTC only managing a 48% gain since the beginning of 2024, tokens like WIF, PEPE, and Floki surged by 1300%, 815%, and 392% respectively. Among the top 10 tokens, BGB, the native token of Bitget, was the only exchange token to make the list, returning 100% to investors in six months.
While the second half of the year holds promise due to the anticipated BTC post-halving bull run, many investors are looking for tokens with strong ROI potential, with memecoins being a popular choice. However, the risk of losing everything is also higher, especially with new memecoins.
