HOW TO DRIVE A MANUAL CAR

Hey Steemit family,
Today am here to give you basics on how you can drive a manual car. My evening was great and the passion towards learning how to drive has kept me positive about driving. Am proud to share some of the basics about driving a manual car.

First and foremost before getting to the driver's seat, make sure the following are in place;

• Check the water levels in the radiator if they are favourable for driving and if not, check the reserve water tank to back you up in case the water levels are low.

• Check the shaft belts and the alternator if it runs well and ensure that non is cracked or in good state.

• Check the oil levels if they are minimal using the oil level testor

• Check the fuel pump and ensure the fuel levels are enough because sometimes if a car is parked for a while, it needs to pump it's fuel up so that it can start.

• Check the exhause Pipe and make sure its free from any kind of blockage.

• Check the parking lights by breaking and the indicators as well.

• Check if the Tyre trends are still favorable for driving, if not make changes to avoid Flat tyres.

When you get to the Driver's seat, ensure that you comfortable enough and the feet are accessing the brakes, clutch and accelerator. Look at both the side mirrors and the driving mirror if they are in the right position and make sure the driving mirror can clearly view the back car screen.

ABOUT THE GEARS

Before starting the car, the car shouldn't have any gears at all, it should be in it's neutral state.

Press the heater plugs to hit the Diesel in case the car consumes Diesel.
Squeeze the Brakes and start the car. Put the One gear after squeezing the clutch to enable the gear move freely. Step the accelerator to keep the car moving and step the brake slowly if the speed is high to reduce the speed.

STEERING WHEEL
The size of the wheel depends on the size of the car and the driver is in control of the car using his or her steering wheel.
