Maybe you saw it on the news: Uganda has heavy rains. There were also landslides on Lake Bunyonyi, houses were spilled, and there were also deaths.
"An accident rarely comes alone" - sad reality there at the moment ....
This also makes food distribution somewhat difficult in places, but everyone does their best and uses rain breaks to buy and hand over the food / soap.
We have been doing this for 7 weeks now !!! and are totally touched by your support.
Many of you have even donated several times and we can only say again and again: Thank you for your trust and your big heart!
Every day I sit on the PC for several hours, communicate with donors, helpers and also with people who have received something and thank them.
I write posts, transfer funds, enjoy the photos and am often sad about the poverty that prevails there. Hunger, lack of medical care and now bad weather ..... We were in many houses and when it rains normally, the water runs into many houses so that the floor is wet. It is inconceivable for us in Germany to live like this. We are always surprised how psychologically strong and happy these people are. Their strong faith will certainly help them, over 80% of them are Christians.

As long as donations come, we will continue! ....

Vielleicht habt ihr es schon in den Nachrichten gesehen: es gibt in Uganda schwere Regenfälle. Auch am Lake Bunyonyi gab es Erdrutsche, Häuser wurden verschüttet und es gab auch Tote.
"Ein Unglück kommt selten allein" - im Moment dort traurige Realität....
Das macht auch stellenweise die Lebensmittel-Verteilung etwas schwierig, aber alle tun ihr Bestes und nutzen Regenpausen für den Einkauf und die Aushändigung der Nahrungsmittel/ Seife.
Wir machen das jetzt schon seit 7 Wochen!!! und sind total gerührt von eurer Unterstützung.
Viele von euch haben sogar mehrfach gespendet und wir können immer wieder nur sagen: Danke für euer Vertrauen und euer großes Herz!
Jeden Tag sitze ich mehrere Stunden am PC, kommuniziere mit Spendern, Helfern und auch mit Menschen, die etwas bekommen haben und sich bedanken.
Ich schreibe Posts, überweise Gelder, freue mich über die Fotos und bin oft auch traurig über diese Armut, die dort herrscht. Hunger, fehlende medizinische Versorgung und jetzt auch noch Unwetter.....Wir waren in vielen Häusern dort und wenn es normal regnet, dann läuft das Wasser schon in viele Häuser hinein, so daß der Boden naß ist. So zu leben ist für uns in Deutschland unvorstellbar. Immer wieder überrascht es uns, wie psychisch stark und fröhlich diese Menschen sind. Sicherlich hilft ihnen ihr starker Glaube, über 80% dort sind Christen.

Solange Spendengelder kommen, machen wir weiter!....
