Achievement 3 By @shakik01 || Task : Steemit Content Etiquette.
Welcome to my achievement post. After my entry in @steemit, I was completed my Achievement 1 and Achievement 2 post. After two achievements comes the Achievement 3, and that's the post you're reading now. So feel free to read.
WHAT IS PLAGIARISM ?
In my understanding from the lecture of @cryptokannon plagiarism is simple the duplication of another person's work, it may be a text, picture, art work without proper reference and credit for it.
TYPES OF PLAGIARISM
DIRECT PLAGIARISM
This is a type of plagiarism when an author copies the content of different articles from different authors same to same without any addition of quotation marks or source content belongs to him. This like of complete plagiarism.
SELF PLAGIARISM
To reuse some of your previous works is “self-plagiarism”. when a person copy his/her previous works, or try to mix some words of his/her previous activities without attribution. Reusing your previous work is not advisable for anyone.
MOSAIC PLAGIARISM
When a writer copies phrases or sentences which contains main idea from different sites then merge them together to form a new content. But the new content been produced preaches no different idea from the main contents he stole.
ACCIDENTAL PLAGARIARISM
When an author unintentionally copies someone else content. Such can happen only out of negligence or mistake. Whether you copy or not, as far as you took someone else content without consent. Its plagiarism and will be dealt with seriously, when caught.
EFFECT OF PLAGIARISM
👉 Your ID may be lost due to your theft.
👉Forcing can have a detrimental effect on your ID so we will avoid it at all times. Even so, we know that stealing is a punishable offense, so we should be careful not to indulge in it.
👉 Plagiarism, when caught in the act leads to waste of time, resources, etc. This simlply means that when your work is identified as a plagiarized work, it can lead to you starting afresh or it can be destroyed .
HOW TO AVOID PLAGIARISM
Follow these steps to ensure your work is free from plagiarism:
*When you use someone's ideas, text or anything give credit and sources correctly.
*When you use quotes always use inside quotation marks.
*Present your own ideas.
