ACHIEVEMENT 1: my introduction to @steemit, by papi.mati

My name is Mateusz, I'm a bit unconventional 30 years old guy. Kind of hippie who travelled half of the world to find a proper place which I could call "home". My journey started in Poland, Cracov where I'm originally from and it finished in Argentina, Rosario.

I left Poland because I felt unwanted there. You see, I'm gay and polyamorous. Since over nine years I'm in relationship with my wonderful husband, Krzysztof. We even got married in Denmark (that marriage is still not valid in our motherland), which was crazy adventure full of tricky movements we had to do to make it happen.

Poland is a wonderful country with amazing culture, music and even better cuisine. People are mostly friendly and open-minded there, but homophobia was always present in my country. Since five years (so since the very conservative party won the elections) it started to be impossible to live there for me.

It wasn't so difficult to make the decision to sell everything we had, pack our backpacks and leave the country. We always loved to travel. Until now we visited twenty eight countries, so being on the way is natural for us. Sometimes we miss our families, friends, that feeling when everything in around is obvious for you, easy to understand, but we love to be pushed out of our comfort zone, learn new things, explore different cultures and listen to another points of view.

We travelled mostly by bus/train or hitchhiking, as we care about our carbon footprint. We made also some less conventional trips like Marseille - Madrid on foot (1000 km with some stop for agriculture workaway in Cataluña) or Mendoza - Puerto Iguazú on bicycles (1900 km). This year, unfortunately, our longest trip was to the beach located few districts away. Covid restrictions don't allow to leave the city.

To rest from living on the way, with the tent as our bedroom and bottle of water or lake as the shower, we were stopping for volunteer in eco farms (okay, sometimes we were sleeping in some hostels as well...). Permaculture and preparing healthy food is my passion, so that kind of "work" was always very fascinating for me. It was the way to get enormous amount of experience from people much smarter than me. Experience, which I wish to share with all of you in my posts.

During one of our trips, in Valparaiso, Chile, we met our current boyfriend - Will from Venezuela. We are together as the triad since almost four years. We lived one year in Chile and then started to travel all together. We share a lot of amazing experiences and a bit of the most thrilling ones (like robbery in Mercedes or violent protests in Bolivia during the "Evo Morales coup").
In the end of 2019 we moved to Rosario, where in 2020 I've met another couple of Venezuelans, I felt in love with: Jorge and Isaac. One of them introduced me to the steemit platform and even though I have no experience with cryptocurrency at all, I decided to try it.

Right now I live in two triads, two different houses, which members remains in friendly relations with each others. Yeah, I'm kinda hippie, I know...

My dream is to create some day the place where all the people I love could live together. I wish to build the eco village. Possibly self sustainable place where we could produce our food using the modern technology, but without making any harm to the environment. Place, where five tiny houses could be placed - two for my nontraditional family, another three as temporary shelter for people in need.

I live in Argentina: country with economical problems, which still remains the destination for many imigrants (mostly for Venezuelan and Haitian communities, but obviously not only). Even though argentinian society is very friendly and helpful for immigrants, it's not easy to live here. With huge unemployment and long visa procedures, many immigrants remains in enormous pressure. They are arriving with some limited financial resources and if they won't find any work on a time, they are endangered to finish on the street, as homeless or, best scenario, as the burden for their friends and families which are already here. My idea is to build a big farm near to one of the main cities, like Rosario or Cordoba. They could work few hours in a day for some food and accommodation in that place until their visa procedures will be finished and until they will sign some contract. Then they could leave, making the space for another people in need. Simple idea to give some people guarantee that they won't be homeless or hungry. Simple idea which, unfortunately, requires a lot of funds. Maybe steemit will help me to gain it, at least partially.
I'm not on the platform just to earn the money, no. I believe I can get here some experience, learn the new things (I will be looking for mostly permaculture and food related posts), meet amazing people from all over the world.

I'm going to post my "articles" regularly here. I will be doing it in English and sometimes in Spanish. I hope that any mistakes I'll probably make will be forgiven. My native language is Polish, but I can communicate in three languages.


I will be writing about three or four different subjects:

• permaculture and food, as I 've got a lot of knowledge about it
• travelling. I'm going to show you some interesting places I've visited until now
• polyamory, ethical non-monogamy, feminism. That would be more personal, but I think it's worth to share with you some information about this lifestyle.
• I'm going to participate in some steemit challenges as well, to become closer to the community, to be the part of one, big steemit family.

¡Hola comunidad Steemit!

Mi nombre es Mateusz, soy un chico poco convencional de 30 años. Una especie de hippie que viajó por la mitad del mundo para encontrar un lugar adecuado al que podría llamar "hogar". Mi viaje comenzó en Polonia, Cracov, de donde soy originario, y terminó en Argentina, Rosario.

Dejé Polonia porque me sentí indeseado allí. Verás, soy gay y poliamoroso. Desde hace más de nueve años estoy en relación con mi maravilloso esposo, Krzysztof. Incluso nos casamos en Dinamarca (ese matrimonio todavía no es válido en nuestra patria), que fue una loca aventura llena de movimientos tramposos que tuvimos que hacer para que sucediera.

Polonia es un país maravilloso con una cultura, música y una cocina increíbles. La gente es en su mayoría amigable y de mente abierta, pero la homofobia siempre estuvo presente en mi país. Desde hace cinco años (desde que el partido muy conservador ganó las elecciones) me empezó a ser imposible vivir allí.

No fue tan difícil tomar la decisión de vender todo lo que teníamos, hacer las maletas y salir del país. Siempre nos ha gustado viajar. Hasta ahora visitamos veintiocho países, por lo que estar en camino es natural para nosotros. A veces extrañamos a nuestras familias, amigos, ese sentimiento cuando todo a nuestro alrededor es obvio para ti, fácil de entender, pero nos encanta salir de nuestra zona de confort, aprender cosas nuevas, explorar diferentes culturas y escuchar otros puntos de vista.

Viajamos principalmente en autobús / tren o haciendo autostop, ya que nos preocupamos por nuestra huella de carbono. Hicimos también algunos viajes menos convencionales como Marsella - Madrid a pie (1000 km con alguna parada para agricultura workaway en Cataluña) o Mendoza - Puerto Iguazú en bicicleta (1900 km). Este año, desafortunadamente, nuestro viaje más largo fue a la playa ubicada a pocos distritos de distancia. Las restricciones de Covid no permiten salir de la ciudad.

Para descansar de vivir en el camino, con la carpa como dormitorio y la botella de agua o el lago como ducha, nos detuvimos para hacer voluntariado en eco granjas (bueno, a veces también dormíamos en algunos albergues ...). La permacultura y la preparación de alimentos saludables es mi pasión, por eso ese tipo de "trabajo" siempre fue muy fascinante para mí. Fue la forma de obtener una enorme cantidad de experiencia de personas más conocedoras que yo. Experiencia, que deseo compartir con todos ustedes en mis publicaciones.

Durante uno de nuestros viajes, en Valparaíso, Chile, conocimos a nuestro novio actual, Will de Venezuela. Estamos juntos como la tríada desde hace casi cuatro años. Vivimos un año en Chile y luego comenzamos a viajar todos juntos. Compartimos muchas experiencias increíbles y algunas de las más emocionantes (como el robo en Mercedes o las protestas violentas en Bolivia durante el "golpe de Evo Morales").
A fines de 2019 nos mudamos a Rosario, donde en 2020 conocí a otra pareja de venezolanos, de los que me enamoré: Jorge e Isaac. Uno de ellos me presentó la plataforma steemit y, aunque no tengo ninguna experiencia con las criptomonedas, decidí probarlo.

Ahora mismo vivo en dos tríadas, dos casas diferentes, cuyos miembros mantienen relaciones amistosas entre sí. Sí, soy un poco hippie, lo sé ...

Mi sueño es crear algún día el lugar donde todas las personas que amo puedan vivir juntas. Deseo construir la aldea ecológica. Posiblemente un lugar autosostenible donde podríamos producir nuestros alimentos utilizando la tecnología moderna, pero sin dañar el medio ambiente. Lugar, donde se podrían colocar cinco casitas: dos para mi familia no tradicional, otras tres como refugio temporal para personas necesitadas.

Vivo en Argentina: país con problemas económicos, que sigue siendo el destino de muchos inmigrantes (sobre todo de comunidades venezolanas y haitianas, pero obviamente no solo). Aunque la sociedad argentina es muy amigable y servicial con los inmigrantes, no es fácil vivir aquí. Con un enorme desempleo y largos trámites de visado, muchos inmigrantes siguen bajo una enorme presión. Llegan con unos recursos económicos limitados y si no encuentran trabajo a tiempo, corren peligro de terminar en la calle, como vagabundos o, en el mejor de los casos, como carga para sus amigos y familiares que ya están aquí. Mi idea es construir una gran finca cerca de una de las principales ciudades, como Rosario o Córdoba. Podrían trabajar pocas horas al día para obtener comida y alojamiento en ese lugar hasta que finalicen sus trámites de visado y hasta que firmen algún contrato. Luego podrían irse, dejando espacio para otras personas necesitadas. Una idea simple para garantizar a algunas personas que no se quedarán sin hogar ni pasarán hambre. Idea simple que, lamentablemente, requiere muchos fondos. Quizás steemit me ayude a ganarlo, al menos parcialmente.
No estoy en la plataforma solo para ganar dinero, no. Creo que puedo obtener aquí algo de experiencia, aprender cosas nuevas (buscaré principalmente publicaciones relacionadas con la permacultura y la comida), conocer gente increíble de todo el mundo.

Voy a publicar mis "artículos" regularmente aquí. Lo haré en inglés y, a veces, en español. Espero que cualquier error que pueda cometer sea perdonado. Mi lengua materna es el polaco, pero puedo comunicarme en tres idiomas.
Escribiré sobre tres o cuatro temas diferentes:

• permacultura y alimentación, ya que tengo muchos conocimientos al respecto.
• viajando. Te voy a mostrar algunos lugares interesantes que he visitado hasta ahora.
• poliamor, no monogamia ética, feminismo. Eso sería más personal, pero creo que vale la pena compartir con ustedes información sobre este estilo de vida.
• Voy a participar en algunos desafíos de Steemit también, para acercarme a la comunidad, para ser parte de una gran familia de Steemit.
