Hello Steemines,,

The Steemit Engagement Challenge Week 2 of season 15 is upon us. Today I am here to participate in this week's contest steemforbangladesh community running SEC-My school life Competition. At the beginning of the competition I would like to thank all the admins and moderators of the steemforbangladesh community. To reminisce about the golden times.

School life is the golden time with which thousands of memories are closely related. Those memories always want to force us to go back to that childhood and dream of going to school together with friends with a school bag on our shoulders. Those moments of eating the fruits of the garden are still vivid, but they are now out of reach. However, I hope today through this competition I can go back to the depths of that memorable time of school life.

Write about your favorite subject of school life

My favorite subject in school life was English. My skills in English were great. I used to be among the toppers in any competition related to English in our school. Even in the month of January 2020 I was one of the best 200 English debaters in our Kushtia district and I was selected as the 2nd best in our Kumarkhali upazila. And so, I was rewarded with a check of 4 thousand BDT.

However, my English skills were not so good, there is a reason behind it. Let's find out.

• The time was 2013. I was a 3rd grade student in primary school. I got 100/100 marks in all subjects in annual exam. Even the maths teacher gave me 110 out of 100 marks because all the numbers were easy for me and I scored 11 marks in the maths exam. However, my marks in English alone came to 75, which is really shameful. Many of my friends' mothers laughed at this and told me about their sons getting 97, 98 marks.

• I couldn't hold back my tears because of their laughter that day. I cried all the way home from school and when I told my father to stop crying, my father said something to me, ❝ Even though it's roll 1 today, like people are following you. It will continue like this in the days to come. So show them instead of listening to them, next time get so many marks in English that their mouths shut❞.

Apart from that, father said many other things which I don't know how to explain. However, from that day onwards I started working hard on English subject. And when I passed primary and entered high school, my English tutor Tariqul Islam Sabu sir made me a sharp weapon in English language.

Write about your favorite friend of school life

We were 5 best friends in school life, Rifat, Riday, Redoan and Rakesh. We had a very close relationship and still have. But if asked to choose a dear friend from among these four, I would choose Rifat. There is no characteristic or reason different from the rest. However, religious knowledge and hospitality were a little more than others.

my best friend rifat, image from messenger

I remember one day when I was studying in class 10, I was sitting in school upset because of a personal reason. Then the rest of my best friends came and tried various soothing words to ease my sadness and left me alone. But, Rifat forced me to their house. He took me and called my house and told me that I will stay at their house that day. After that he tried many times and made me feel better.

Write about your favorite teacher in school life

My favorite sir in school life was ❝Babu Rajkumar Biswas❞. He used to teach us English. Sir was a terrible name for all the students in the school. Hearing his name, everyone became silent because he used to beat a lot.

But while teaching, Sir was gentle like a child. He would not leave the class until a student understood how to read. Every year on one day in January when new books were given, students who got A+ were given an English dictionary by the school. And Rajkumar sir used to give a glossy note of ৳1000 BDT among those books. Those talented poor students could not fill the exam form due to lack of money. Sir used to fill the form with money from his own pocket, even in chamad batch 5 students were bought by sir himself. Filled the exam form. Whenever the students went to a competition outside our school, Rajkumar sir used to go with them, because the small money given by the school did not allow him to eat breakfast, he took me to different competitions three times and each time instead of breakfast, he took me to the hotel at noon. He took me and ate rice with eggs and fed me with beef and even used to pay the car fare to come home.

Write about most memorable day of school life

Every day spent at school is most memorable. But among all these memorable events, one incident attracted me the most, that time was one spring afternoon. I was just studying in Class 7 Six, Wazed Ali Sir, who took our last class, went to the upazila for some important school work. So Headsir allowed us to play in the field without taking the last class. Spring time and then again in the afternoon, surely you can understand how nice the weather was then. Suddenly a gentle wind started blowing in the middle of the field and our minds were also excited by the wind that day. Everyone paid 5 rupees and bought a balloon from the school's honesty store, then inflated them and tried to fly them in the air. But suddenly a strong wind blew all our balloons and took them past the school wall next to the playground to a garden far away. But we were sad that day. I was very happy because in the afternoon of spring we saw about 95-100 balloons flying together in the sky and we were happy.

Write about school life picnic

Every year our school had three picnics;

• On the occasion of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib's birthday.

• In Bengali Pahela Boishakh.

• On annual educational tour.

I participated in only 2 of the above three picnics and that too only once. However, the one I liked the most was the picnic celebrated on Pahela Boishakh. I was a student of 8th standard at that time. During the few days before Pahela Boishakh, every class of our school was decorated beautifully with paper and other materials. Sirs gave money from the school fund. Those memories of decorating the classroom are still floating in my eyes.

My school teachers

On the day of the picnic, all the teachers and students read Punjabi and all the ladies and girls wore sarees. From the morning, we spent the day like a big family festival. All the students and teachers did the cooking together. In the afternoon, the sirs took the responsibility of making us eat and drink. After everyone had eaten, food was brought to the poor people and children living near the school. Which is not really an unforgettable memory by any means.

After the meal, a cultural program was organized in the afternoon. Along with the students, sirs also performed dances and songs. Many sirs also performed comedy acts. After the cultural program a competition was organized for girls only on a small scale. We enjoyed that too. I never had such a day again.

Write about the saddest day of school life

I spent the saddest two days in school life;

• Farewell ceremony for our maths teacher.

• Farewell ceremony of our batch.

But since our farewell ceremony was the last day of school life, I don't want to say that.

Our maths teacher was Nazim sir, he was the oldest sir in the school, he has been responsible for teaching about 28 years in our school. When he used to beat everyone in the maths class with a stick in school, he was very annoying. But no, completely opposite happened in his farewell ceremony in our case.

A huge pandal was made in the school grounds to bid farewell to sir, all of us students in that huge pandal cried for sir that day. I broke down in tears on the stage while reading the farewell memorial on the occasion of sir's farewell. The same thing happened to the senior sirs of Anad, the oldest and Like a paternal banyan tree, he kept not only us but also all the teachers. And that's why no sir could hold back their tears, no one could read his farewell memorial completely that day.

Conclusion

The golden school life came at some point in the life of all the students. I made myself best friends among thousands of friends, spent unimaginable golden moments with them. It is impossible to tell how much laughter and happiness our golden time was. Our school life witnessed countless happy and sad moments. But today they are just memories.

Today we are very much mechanical after passing that harsh childhood brought to improve our career and future.

¡Saludos amigo!

I really liked your school life stories. School life is almost like this for everyone. A bad student can do very well in studies if he tries. Another student is often motivated by his family. You were also motivated by your father. You said that you like English very much. Your friends in school life are selfless and genuine. Best of luck to you bro.
