A Breathe Taking Football Match (20-07-2023)-
How are you all? Hope you all are well by the grace of Allah Almighty. Alhamdulillah, by the grace of Almighty Allah I am also very well. Today I am here with you to share a story of competitive football match that was breathe taking. Hope you will enjoy it.
The weather this morning was outstanding. I woke up early in the morning like every day but the only difference was that Shamim bhai called me when I woke up today. Shamim bhai went to every room of the hostel and called everyone, he also called me. The reason was that today was a football match between our hostel vs Mayanid hostel. That's why Shamim bhai called everyone to play and watch.
I woke up at 5:45. I got up and went to the bathroom with a brush and toothpaste. There were also towels. Then I took a shower. I didn't sleep well at night because of the lack of electricity. I had a headache. So I took a shower. Then I called everyone and went to the field.

The game was at the George Secondary School ground. We went and saw the opposing team had arrived. So without delay, everyone quickly dressed up and went to the field. The elder brothers were giving some instructional words and fixing the playing positions. Then the game started.
Our XI was relatively poor today. Maximum of our regular players were missing. Unfortunately I didn't play either. Because my position is goalkeeper. And there is the independent brother who is the champion keeper.
The game started with the referee sir's voice. The starting kick was ours first. Then the game was played for a while. First the opposing team took a strong long-range shot at the goal. But due to the skill and journey of the independent brother, the goal was intact. Then slowly our team settled the game and started attacking slowly. Several attacks but it was almost impossible for their defense and goal keeper to break the deadlock.

Sometimes they also attacked to scare. The first half ended with a fierce fight. Even though we play very well, we don't get a goal. The game remains a goalless draw.
Then they got a goal at the beginning of the second half. Our defense had to concede a goal as a price for a big mistake by Asif. But who knows what happened? From then on, the rhythm of our game started to decline. It seems that they don't care. We have to change players but there is no option at hand.

It went on like this 1-0. Then there were 7 minutes left in the match. Shamim took the ball from the defense alone. It looked like Lionel Shamim. Then he passed to Bakul bhai. Bakul bhai raised it to Salman and hit it. Salman had an amazing header. The ball went into the goal bar. We all jumped for joy.
But unfortunately the referee didn't understand. He didn't call the goal. Our captain Bakul bhai talked to the referee for a long time but the referee was strong in his place. So no goal was scored. The match ended 1-0. But our friend Sajal was recording the game on his mobile phone. We saw it on his phone and informed the referee. The referee regrets and admits the mistake but by then the match is over.

We went back to the hostel feeling sad about the 1-0 defeat.
If there was VAR, then maybe the result of the match would have been different. Because if we got a goal, our players would have been more motivated and could have played with confidence.
