Floods in Bangladesh
Assalamualikum! to everyone. How is going to be every day? I hope everyone is doing great by the Marcy of Allah(SWT). I'm also doing great, Alhumdulillah. My name is @kashfeya on Steemit. I live in Bangladesh. After so long I post.
Bangladesh is a riverine country. So flood visits almost every year in Bangladesh. Flood is generally caused by excessive rainfall. At times it rains cats and dogs and the water of this heavy rainfall gives rise to overflowing the river. It then remains standing for days together and then washes away both sides.
Flood is a natural calamity in Bangladesh. It rains crops, washes away houses, uproots trees, and destroys men and cattle. Fields and roads go underwater. The sufferings of men know no bounds to the shortage of food. Feminine and diseases break out.
The aftereffects of floods are more serious. Epidemic and famine break out in the flood-affected areas and many people die of starvation. People die of cholera, dysentery, diarrhea, and fever. The scarcity of pure drinking water also causes great suffering to the people.
It is not possible to control floods overnight. A wise plan has been taken up to introduce an irrigation system. The system may become successful in the way of a canal-digging program. The program has been going to be controlled by Pucca dams on their banks. When all these programs will be completed we shall be free from the suffering caused by the flood.
We should cooperate with our government in controlling floods. May Bangladesh be saved from the havoc of flood.
