So my post will be entertaining in this. Subsequently there will be more on it. Without waisting time let us start.

INTRODUCTION
Epidemiology has its origins in the idea first expressed 2000 years ago by Hippocrates that environmental factors can influence the occurrence of disease. Epidemiology is defined as the study of the distribution and etiological factors of health-related conditions or phenomena in a defined population; the application of this study to the prevention and control of health problems.

Thus, epidemiological study can be directly related to the understanding of a sudden occurrence of the number of cases of disease in a specific locality and at a given period of time: it is called an epidemic. The different methods of prevention and treatment of this pathology are grouped under the term investigation. For this purpose, several so-called analytical and descriptive methods are used by researchers to understand these phenomena and to propose solutions.

My work will thus consist in clearly defining what is meant concretely by epidemic and investigation, to show the contribution of analytical and descriptive methods in the understanding of an epidemic while defining the concepts relating to the latter; also to give the specific objectives of an investigation as well as the stages of this process.

Definition of an epidemic
An epidemic is a rapid development and spread of a contagious disease, usually of infectious origin, in a human or animal population.

The different branches of epidemiology are characterised by the nature of the questions to be answered, as well as by the method used. Thus, several epidemiological techniques make it possible to study and understand an epidemic phenomenon in a locality. To this end, several epidemiological methods can be distinguished.
