According to the Cambridge English Dictionary the word favourite means “a thing that someone likes best OR enjoys the most”.
My husband bought me an Acer Travelmate Intel core i7 notebook or laptop as it also know us. My laptop is my “best technology friend” although I don’t take it everywhere with me like my phone the total hours spend a day on my laptop out number my phone by far.
I use my laptop with a screen, an external keyboard and mouse. I have a corner set up in my home as a work station. My family knows to well that when I move into my corner they must leave me alone. It is now time for business.

Alexis Ohanian once said; “To join in the industrial revolution, you needed to open a factory; in the Internet revolution, you need to open a laptop”.
I know mobile forms a big part of our daily lives but I am in agreement with Alexis, this is indeed me, my laptop, my internet and Steemit!
The “thing” I like best and mostly on my laptop is Steemit. As an early riser it is the first thing I say “hello” to in the morning.
I know the younger generation might not agree with me but I do think that working on a laptop on Steemit is far easier and also much faster.

I had typing as a subject at school so I suppose that counts in my favourite. By using my laptop I type with ten fingers and not just two fingers.

My laptop is Hp and it happen to be one of my favourite device as well, even though it's old and gets slow at some points, i am planning of getting a new one soon when i have some good fund for it.
As a matter of fact, My PC is like a partner to me because i go everywhere with it and i use it everyday.
If i didnt use it for a day or two, then there is a problem, it's either i am extremely busy with external duties , sick or no electricity, but you know i can't mention electricity as my problem anymore because i have it now...yeah?
I hope my laptop doesn't take my life time partner space....if you know what i a mean...
However, laptop is my partner and i believe in future when i have a life partner, i think we would have to negotiate how to balance the time i can spent with my laptop and that of my life partner.

I only use the laptop for... everything. I can't do anything with mobile apps, the display of the mobile phone is far too small for me and the smartphone has pretty much one use for me: Making phone calls!
Ich nutze nur den Laptop für... alles. Mit mobilen Apps kann ich nichts anfangen, das Display vom Handy ist mir viel zu klein und das Smartphone hat bei mir ziemlich genau einen Nutzen: Telefonieren!
I think I am one ahead of you. I also use my phone for WhatsApp, not often, but I do :-)

I don't think old-fashioned is bad per se. I'm already tech-savvy - it just has to make sense for me to use it. It shouldn't be an end in itself to do as much as possible with super-modern equipment.
I am somewhat visually impaired - I can hardly see anything on my mobile phone. Voice input works so far... well - not well. I use laptop and desktop and everything is fine. Old fashioned...? Old-fashioned are those who can't make a decent Excel spreadsheet, no matter what device ;-))
Also altmodisch finde ich nicht per se schlecht. Ich bin schon technikaffin - die Nutzung muß für mich nur Sinn machen. Es darf kein Selbstzweck sein, möglichst viel mit möglichst supermodernem Equipement zu erledigen.
Ich bin etwas sehbehindert - auf dem Handy kann ich so gut wie nichts erkennen. Spracheingabe funktioniert bis jetzt... na ja - nicht gut. Ich nutze Laptop und Desktop und alles ist fein. Altmodisch...? Altmodisch sind diejenigen, die keine gescheite Excel-Tabelle zustande kriegen, egal auf welchem Gerät ;-))
