Curator Cat: Giving Caturday Posts Another Try!
Greetings Fine Felines and Hoomans of Steemlandia!
Been absent from these pages for a couple of weeks, but decided to give "Caturday Posts" another try, after not having felt very inspired recently.
Welcome to Caturday, my favorite day of the week! For the uninitiated "Caturday" happens every Saturday all around the Internet when Hooman cat lovers post pictures of their feline friends!
We used to have a fairly active pet and cat community here on Steemit, but it seems to have considerably died down over the past couple of years... which is a bit sad, given that cats are generally regarded as the unofficial mascots of the web!
My own blog here on Steemit — at five years and change old — is one of the oldest cat blogs in the community, and possibly the oldest still active cat blog here.
I wish I weren't the only one doing this, these days... I know @kaminchan also participates with photos of thos awesome orange cats... and a few others add cat pictures every now and then.
The more the merrier, says I!
Why No Active Pet Communities?
I have my own theories as to why we don't have active pet communities here on Steemit... sadly, mostly related to people being more concerned about their rewards than about creating interesting content.
Not a criticism, really... people have to do whatever they have to do.
I just wish more people would take a chance on pet content!
Meanwhile, I'm just going to continue onwards... after all, I have goals with my Steemit account, and the next one — reaching 2,000 SP — is not far away now!
It was always my hope to focus on feline content, but if that's not enough, maybe I'll have to branch out a bit.
In the meantime, I hope everyone enjoyed their Caturday, and if you're a cat lover, do leave me a comment/shoutout!
