Good day everyone hope you are all doing fine and well. Its @emmaboy23 and am here to participate in this contest organised by @patjewell titled :choices ! what will it be?#45.
Today I will be writing about picnic in this contest.
PICNIC
Picnics are time that people set aside to spend some holiday with loved ones. It can be done anywhere, some do picnics in school, in hotel, and in church etc. Picnics are a time for relaxation and enjoyment and are also one of the most exciting things that children and adults love doing equally. It helps us to divert from the daily life stress and forget about our problems of life. Picnics take us to a world that is different from the one we live in , it can create a world where we live in peace, we feel relaxed and have a sense of refreshment. Picnics are very important as they add a pleasantness to our lives and make our existence smooth and take us out of our daily routine. There are different types of picnics which people enjoy. There are family picnics, school picnics, church picnics, and many more.
Picnics are a great way of bringing people together. Whether it is your family, friends or anyone they all form bonds at picnics. Moreover, it gives us the opportunity to speak our minds and relax. We also get to enjoy physical activities during picnics. The games and activities that are done in picnics are beneficial to our health, they help to boost our body and improve our stamina too.
My church once organised a picnic last year during the children's day celebration. It has been one of the days I will never forget in my life. My church took us to one of the amazing resort in port Harcourt that had swings and swimming pools. Some went their by bus while others followed by car with all our friends
Upon reaching the place, they gave us a hot jollof rice to eat to start the day. After that we roamed around the resort looking at the place and how beautiful it was. We tried out some swings and played football a little. I didn't take pictures of the resort that time cause I didn't have a phone by that time.
During lunch time, my church gave us a hot and very delicious meal which was very nutritious. It had vegetable salad, and fried chicken on top of the fried rice. Everyone loved the meal and enjoyed it and finished it in no time.
After that we played some games and we did a race which the resort was organising for the children. The children in my church participated and we got the second position and won a prize containing tasty snacks and books.
Finally the picnic ended, then we all started entering the bus which brought us so that we can go home. On our way home we decided to sing some songs together and we also thanked our pastor and ministers who sponsored the picnic. The picnic was really enjoyable and fun. It gave us a chance to bond with one another and feel relaxed.

You wrote picknics are held in hotels, schools and in church. I never saw that, perhaps you mean 'organized by'?
I doubt a hotel will, they like to keep you in their restaurant.
It's great the church is active if it comes to outdoor activities. This will for sure make people bond.

Picnic are special moments you share with friends and family. I love how churches and organisations are beginning to employ picnic as a means to have fun and relax their nerves.

It's true that picnic are happiest time one spends with family or friends. The commonest place for a picnic is an open field. It's a good thing you participate in the picnic your church organized. I remember how our church held picnics for the youth and how they enjoyed sharing the love of God with each other. It was wonderful.
