Tell your story#11(I and my NYSC connect friend )

Hello Steemians, I am so delighted to participate in this beautiful contest in the Steem For Ladies Community by @ruthjoe, thank you so much ma for this amazing contest, it is my pleasure to drop my entry and I do hope that you all enjoy my post.

Circumstances can make people from different places come together and become good friends in life.

Me and my NYSC Connect Friend

This is me and my NYSC connect friend, with the way we both are around each other, it's a symbol that she was the person that God in Heaven has destined her to come my way in my NYSC journey.

How it Started

The first day I met her was the day I went to a computer center to check if my name was shortlisted among those who will go to the NYSC camp in match, 2024 which is batch A stream 2.

When I got to the business center, I met her because she was already at the business center before I came, the computer man was trying to check her dashboard to know if she was also among those who were shortlisted for the going of camp but it was very unfortunate for us both because the network was very bad at the computer center and that was how we both were very stranded but refused to return home because we both were anxious to see that our names are also shortlisted.

We decided to hang around the computer Center to wait for the network will later work, unknown to us that the network in that particular business center that we went to was not good. So while we were waiting, she got a call from someone who had gone to a different computer and was able to check his name and the person's name was shortlisted.

After she finished making the call, she explained to me what the person told her, so I told her to call the person back and ask him to describe the computer center where he got access to the Internet and was able to log in to the NYSC portal.

She called and the person directed us to the business center and we were able to locate the computer center when we got to the computer center, we gave our login details and we were fortunate the network at that particular shop was good, we were able to get access to the NYSC portable and our dashboard.

The computer man checked and saw that both of us were among the successful names that were short-listed to go to the NYSC orientation camp in match 2024 and the funniest thing was that we both were posted to camp in Kebbi state.

On seeing the posting letter, we both were not happy about the fact that we were posted to Kebbi State but we had no choice rather than to get home and prepare for the long journey that was ahead of us.

Before we left the computer shop to our various homes, we both agreed to travel together to the NYSC orientation camp, after our agreement, we left to our various homes.

We got home and started preparing for the journey and the next day we started the journey, we started by going to Abuja, the capital city of Nigeria, we got to Abuja in the evening and got to a particular motor park called Sokoto Park, where we can get Kebbi state transport car, we passed the night at the pack and the next day as early as 4:30 am, the car started the journey, it was a very long journey for the both of us because I have never traveled to a very far place like that and likewise her too.

The journey kept going ahead and we both were very tired, our car reached Kebbi state around 10:30 in the night but before we set our eyes on the orientation camp, it was around 2:00 in the morning because the distance from the main Kebbi town to the orientation camp is very far and is above 200 km.

When we finally got to the orientation camp, we were both very tired and feeling very sleepy.

The security men at the camp searched our bag after which they took us to where we would sleep, we saw the place and immediately, we both lay down and started sleeping.

Around 4:30 in the morning the security men blew a trumpet demanding that we wake up from sleep and move to the parade ground.

At this point, we were both crying because of the two much stress and sleep that we were feeling but we had no choice but to move to the parade ground, the whole thing became so frustrating from the day we went camping to the day of our passing out but though some days at the camp was full with so much fun but the majority days was full of too much stress and sleep in our eyes.

It reached our final day in camp which happened to be the passing out day, we were both relocated back to Benue state and we both were so happy about the relocation status because we both are indigenes of Nasarawa state, and Nasarawa state is a neighboring state to Benue State.

After the passing out parade, we were dismissed from the orientation camp and we both got a car in the orientation camp ground and traveled back to Nasarwa state, our state of origin.

This time, we reached Nasarawa State around 7:30 the next day because we didn't start the journey early in the morning.

When we got to our state, we both separated and went to our various homes.

After one week, we communicated with each other and decided that we should travel to Benue state and report before we returned to our various places of primary assignment.

We got to Benue state and went to the NYSC secretariat and reported. After we reported, we both returned home and continued resting.

Our period of staying at home elapsed and we again communicated and traveled back to Benue State again. Our place of primary assignment was not the same but we both stayed in the same apartment and same room in Benue state.

We both are more like sisters and very good friends and I appreciate God for bringing her my way.
