MAXUV Weekly Statement & News - 5 January 2020 [MAP Steem FinTech]
Welcome to our weekly MAXUV account statement.
This will be brief. As we have crossed over into a new year, we have an anniversary coming very soon. The MAPR fund will be 2 years old at the start of February. We've been making money for Steemians for a long time.
A reminder that MAXUV has sponsored the Buildbetter Contest with a donation of 500 MAXUV tokens. The winners have now been announced and many have now received their prizes - just waiting for the others to get in contact.
MAXUV was designed to continue the tradition set by MAPR of helping users make some extra money from their stake in STEEM. The new reward curve makes this even more pressing, and yet we have seen sluggish growth. I shall need to rethink - once again - how to best brand MAXUV. There is nothing wrong with the system itself, it just needs a respray and chrome plating.

The MAXUV headline figures are:
MAXUV tokens active = 10,145
SP in MAXUV = 8,660
Voting SP = 23,680
Other STEEM = 940
Total STEEM = 9600
MAXUV ABV = 0.95 STEEM
MAXUV-meter = 101.0% (of 1 million SP)
Note that "Other STEEM" is the sum of all holdings not powered up as SP: liquid STEEM and SBD plus holdings within Steem Engine. Also note that such values are volatile, especially any holdings priced in US$, so the above numbers are a snapshot and may have changed when you look at the @MAXUV account.
The Asset Backed Value (ABV) is our total holdings calculated in STEEM divided by the number of active MAXUV tokens.
Target value for MAXUV-meter is 100% in 1 upvote per day, proportional to your token holdings as if delivered by 1 million SP.

I have 25 Maxuv and I get a 90% vote. And this account have 200 sp or so. Not close to a mil, maybe I misunderstand something x)
Yes, 25 MAXUV are equivalent to 25 SP.
An upvote from 25 SP is worth about $0.0001.
The total votes from all MAXUV voters you received is $0.0026 - about 25x more than mere SP.
A 1 mil SP vote scaled down to your 25 SP would be $0.0003.
In this case, you got a lot more than this.
Also note that the @maxuv account is not a regular voter, but holds the tokens and publishes posts, so those votes are more bonuses.
Because of the nature of the new non-linear reward curve, these numbers will change with every post, but the votes received will be much higher than the SP-equivalent held in tokens.

Glad you asked - few people ever seem to bother :-(
The underlying mathematics is a bit complicated but is the reason we can give out high votes.
We wanted to move away from the easier-to-understand fixed-% votes per token model, which we do anyway with both MAPX and MAPXV, but I'm finding it hard to explain it without the maths.
Just add the maths and maybe even tho voting accounts to @maxuv's posts :D
Maybe that would help. Because I did read the post with the ABV and all of that, but I still asked about the math/votes xD
